Sorry to see that - though with a target goal that high ($530K) it did seem a long shot.

Not much else to report gameswise, but there is one monster RPG project to consider:

Traveller 5th Edition

Those of you who remember the original release (3 little black books in 1977) may be surprised to see the current hardback book weighing in at 600 pages. It's grown a bit over the last 35 years...

What is this game about anyway? Is it an RPG?
Warbird Games and Jack Houston and the Necronauts on Indiegogo.

They're also backing the Two Guys and Tex Murphy.
Dead State is alive :D

A Zombie Survival RPG with turn-based combat.

3 quotes which got my pledge :
* "10,000 lines of branching dialogue that affect gameplay, story outcomes, and multiple endings"

* "Zombies are the least of your problems – you need to keep morale high, mouths fed, and your shelter safe. You will lose people. You will make enemies. You will have to make tough decisions. And you might not make it."

* "DoubleBear Productions is an indie RPG developer founded by Brian Mitsoda (formerly of Black Isle, Troika, and Obsidian - writer/designer for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines) and Annie VanderMeer Mitsoda (Obsidian, Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir)."

$150K seems a bit high these days but this game look very promising.

Was just coming here to post about this.
For those interested: Carmageddon: Reincarnation kickstarter will be ending in 24 hours. Currently at $556,358 and well past their goal of 400K. Check out the 25 USD tier "I'M AGOG!!
No boxed copy for Dead State? That's criminal, Mr and Mrs Mitsoda! :P

Hoplomachus have posted an update showing the t-shirt they plan to offer to backers (at Elite level upwards).

Big deal, almost every other KS project is offering t-shirts too, right? Well, the design of this looks exceptional and it has a scroll on the back with customisable text, including the name of your choice.

You need to be pledging at least $180 to get this, and clearly the game itself should be the main point of interest. But that looks to be one heck of a nice bonus.
They sure know how to encourage fans to treat the t-shirts as collectibles, rather than apparels ;)
Another game project on kickstarter that is looking very promising:

Been following this for a long time now and am happy to throw my money at them for a pre-order and to support the completion of the game.

Thanks.

Dead State's FAQ just received an update :

Boxed copies are a bit more expensive than we would like, but we are looking into the feasibility. If the numbers are there, it may be something we add to the reward tiers.
Last updated: Thursday Jun 7, 12:55am CEST

With almost 2000 Backers / $50K during the first 26 hours, boxed copies, Linux and Mac support seems at hand.

Quest For Infamy

New game from the guys who made the King's Quest III and Space Quest II VGA remakes, Infamous Adventures. Looks fantastic, and their work on the Sierra remakes has been stellar.
