Lot of good additions. I'll look through them later and add them accordingly.

nijuu: I was looking forward to this then saw this : ...
Looks like GOG is getting to have some die hard fans like Steam has, who don't really consider a game as worthwhile if it's not available on their platform of choice.

I can certainly say that this is the case with me. A good comparison is the internet company. Back in the day (bah! I hate saying that). An internet company provided you bandwidth and you used it however you liked. NOW, internet companies feel entitled to overcharge and "finesse" the data you download. They prioritize partners and throttle competitors. They cap it, monitor it, etc. etc. etc.

So, I absolutely do pick my internet provider, not by simply the bandwidth they sell me, but by how much they mess with stuff behind the scenes. (when possible, most ISPs in my area are monopolies that won't compete with each other). Comcast caused me HUGE problems when they kept throttling down my Vonage packets. (cost me money too).

So.... distribution sources are doing the same thing. They aren't just giving us the game, they are trying to tell us where we can play it, how often, what version we have to play, etc. etc.

Again, YES! I will absolutely buy from sources that simply sell me what I want and leave me alone. And I will avoid the rest. In context... GOG doesn't manipulate my sale. I get the game and I can do what I want with it. I simply won't buy from others that insist I have to play on their terms.

Sadly, it doesn't look like it's going to make it.

I wish them good luck

I can perfectly understand this, but nijuu quoted xenonauts being planned for Desura and the Humble Store, so as I see it, it isn't a matter of the content provider having DRM or having other restrictions, it's just being a fan of GOG.
Ogre supporters please note! Postage costs for international supporters have changed (thankfully they've gone down, see Update 33 for details). New extras have been added (mentioned in the update and the Ogre Home Page) which include:
- Embroidered patches
- Polo shirts (with an Ogre, natch)
- Variant dice
- Shot-glasses
- Military-style cap
- Extra T-shirts (battlesuit, endgame, Munchkin crushing)
- Big (10.5 inch) Ogre woodkit
Ogre only needs another $25,000 or so to take first place in Board/Card Game funding - please help this poor, pitiless, nuclear-powered cybertank crush the zombies! :)

Good luck to them.

Spate is at $4k ATM, and really deserves to get the full funding.

Conquest 2 is already at $3.7k and I've suggested that if they want to re-release Conquest that they do so here. Don't know if that's going to happen. But this would probably be the best place for it.
My nomination for "most deserving project" would be (currently at 10% funding, deadline 31st May, [url=http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/digitilus/skyjacker#PlayDemo]playable demo released). Legends of Eisenwald comes a close second but it's at 90%.

Ogre's now almost at $850K, a new record for a Kickstarter boardgame - well done to SJG!
republique MADE IT. Unbelievable.
I made a thread about it but I'll post here also: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/797210197/do-you-remember-an-rpg-from-your-childhood?ref=live
Sorry all I've been really busy with the Xenonauts demo but I'll find the time (hopefully tomorrow) to check those links out.

Yes, that is quite unbelievable. Just look at the funding progress:

https://s3.amazonaws.com/Republique_Kickstarter/Graph.png

There's probably no other Kickstarter graph that looks anything like that. It went through moderate initial success, complete stagnation, renewed interest, more stagnation and an insane final surge.

I don't really understand why people are so desperate to see this game made. There are tons of comments saying "We need to make this happen", "I just tripled my pledge", "upped my pledge to $250", etc.

In the end, this is still just a mobile game with about five hours of gameplay. I'm not sure how they managed to get people so excited about it.

Because it looks interesting to us. Plus it's also coming to PC and Mac, so not just a mobile game.
