Holy crap, just played the xenonauts demo. It is freaking amazing!! It is definitely the X-com game we have all been waiting for, even in its rough stage.

I'm downloading it, but I'm not sure whether I'll have money to pledge in. I'll play the demo before I make up my mind. But, I'll likely wait until the game is released even if I do end up spending somewhat more money on it.

Good timing, all my current kickstarters are over anyway. And I always had an eye out for that one.

I've PMed Goldhawk Interactive to ask about a DRM-free version of Xenonauts. I've also received a (somewhat delayed) reply from RealmSource regarding Realm Explorer where they do state they will offer a way to play offline (you need to login for multiplayer, updates and news). That's encouraging but not completely clear on whether Realm Explorer can be installed and played offline (without ever having to login) and suggests that updates may not be available for offline users - I've asked them for clarification on this.

Just received an update on Realm Explorer - no Internet connection needed except to download the software. Signed up. :)
Heh, me too. Kickstarter *really* needs to show outstanding pledge amounts (something like upcoming pledges for next month/upcoming pledges total/past pledges). It's pretty damn hard to keep track of spending otherwise.
