I'm waiting for Plotkin's Hadean Lands since before Kickstarter had fulfillment dates.

Starmaker: I'm waiting for Plotkin's Hadean Lands since before Kickstarter had fulfillment dates.
Phew, that's a long wait (funded in Dec 2010) though it can't fairly be called "late" since it didn't give a release date (didn't know that was possible on KS). Those backers who ponied up $1,000 must be foaming at the mouth - or close family members. Or even both...
With the Skullgirls project, does anyone know if the game would someday come to GOG? I am tempted to buy the game through the Indiegogo campaign, but I am not fond of Steam.

My gut feeling says no. I've asked both the developer and publisher about this months ago (before the whole legal mess that just happened not too long ago) and they said they're using Steam for multiplayer hosting, lobbies, and taking advantage of some of the other features Steam uses/provides. I could ask them again by email just to see, but my feeling is that it's pretty unlikely we'll see a GOG release.

This was the response I got when I asked them that question months ago:

We are using Steamworks for some necessary functionality in the game beyond just DRM. We did discuss with GOG whether they would be able to offer an alternative solution for the other aspects of functionality provided by Steamworks which are necessary, but unfortunately, they were not able to and creating our own technical solutions for the functionality would have been cost prohibitive and delay the possible release date for the game significantly.

gandalf.nho: Empire Eden, platformer run n' gun with puzzle/RPG elements
Looks pretty good, reminds me of another platformer, Lionheart. And the devs would like the game to be on GOG, which is always nice.

RayRay13000:
That's unfortunate. :(

Looks like GOG still has some work to do to get more games and developers on board.

Looks interesting, but being a flexible project will watch some time before.decide to pledge
Pretty basic concept, no video / gameplay, PvP mentioned (MMO? Also playable as single-player?), somewhat laughable pledge-system (going from 25 to 50 bucks nets you a..... signed PDF certificate? WTF?

As interesting as it could be, that's not enough to pledge for me.
i cant wait for the new Dreamfall game...

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey

7 more days till its finished with its Kickstarter...
Proviso: This is not a video game but rather a puzzle book - but for those that "love me a good puzzle" in any format, go check it out!

There's a kickstarter going on by Mike Selinker of Lone Star Games of a puzzle book called "The Maze of Games" due to end 3/14/13. The KS page has several puzzles - one of which links in with D&D monsters, another with a maze puzzle for contributors and a third embedded in his Wired interview. It's fully funded and as they raise more cash, they're adding puzzle peeps so they can afford to design additional pages for the book. One buck gets you access to the online puzzles in the KS page and $20 gets you an e-book that will work in iformat or a PDF for those of us luddites w/o an ipad or iphone...

I liked the premiss of this one, to bad it seems no one knows about it. The demo is very very rough, but with some polish this can be a game right up my street.
