Fesh: i searched the thread but didn´t find an entry...so

did anyone heard of this one: Train Fever

gandalf.nho: I heard about and looks interesting, but for people who likes to pledge to get at least a copy of the game, Gambitious crowdfunding service isn't much attractive because the reward is a parcel of the profits (copy of the game only donating minimum of €40 in this case)
after the game is released you get the complete money back
Arakion update showing the final playable race: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lavidimus/chris-taylors-arakion/posts/403136

And Wildman was canceled, but GPG posted an update saying they are focusing in other ways to keep the company working.

IF it ever gets released. The 60% returns looks too good to be true from unpaid labour and a head developer flaunting their school background over business experience in online games.

Mostly interesting because they are a developer that is bringing Japanese indie games to the Western market so far AND they won the Indie Dev Grant and they are now running a crowdfunding campaign.

It looks interesting but I've got to admit that this doesn't seem to bode well.

Why does it not bode well?
Sorry haven't updated OP in a while. Just not really motivated to do so these days. I probably will at a later date, but if anyone's had the intention to make a new thread for this purpose, be my guest.
No idea if this was mentioned somewhere, I don't think it deserves its own thread:
http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/indiego-a-proper-open-video-game-console?c=home
Either this is a scam, or the creators have no clue about what kind of project will definitely not be successful. Apart from the project itself, a multitude of mistakes in the pitch and the depressing 15€ they got in the first 6 days do not exactly inspire confidence.

edit: Just to give an example (is this Google translate? I don't get what the answer is supposed to say):

Q: Will it have parental controlls

A: Fore sure, that sure hat whe didn’t thought to announce it : ) Yes of course.

And it's a flexible funding campaign too... pathetic.
I think the games on Kickstarter are cool, but does anyone have any non-video game related projects which look interesting? Some of the tech hardware or other things like that?
I came across this the other day and thought it looked interesting:

Jon Shafer's At the Gates

I haven't backed it myself, but am paying attention to it and am excited to see how it turns out.
(Sorry if it has been posted before.)
Not a game, but I think it's an important project that needs funding.

"Cult" Feature Film
Throw Trucks With Your Mind, a video game where you throw things, like trucks, with your mind

That desk looks interesting - but a real gamer's desk would need to include a catheter and feeding tube...
For the people worried with GPG, today was announced they were bought by Wargaming, World of Tanks developer. Wildman status with this purchase is unknown yet: http://massively.joystiq.com/2013/02/14/chris-taylors-gas-powered-games-acquired-by-wargaming-net/

Some new entries:

PC Games:
Terrestrial Domination: A Space RTS Game (Win, Linux, Mac) (Mar 13)
Covering the major platforms from day one with a downloadable alpha.
Rogue System (Mar 22)
Cross between a space-combat/trader and a hardcore combat game - has a rather high funding target compared to similar KS projects but seems also to have more detailed preparation.

Boardgames:
Machine of Death: The Game of Creative Assassination (Mar 20)
Looks like a creatively perverse boardgame - you have to assassinate people according to their predetermined fate (e.g. slipping on a banana skin).
Mutant Chronicles Warzone Resurrection (Apr 15)
Scifi miniatures combat game with 4 factions (plus a fifth depending on funding). Very high-level pledgers can get their face and body on a miniature of their choice (could be a disincentive for some).

Accessories:
Doppelganger: The Universal Game Piece (Mar 5)
Intended for boardgames, this counter (with an LCD screen front and back) could probably have a host of other uses.
