nijuu: Anyone have update on Double fine adventure? Cant seem to find anything solid (not a backer)
The short of it is: they're doing well, you can still contribute here, and they will release more details to the public "soon". Oh, and it will be available on the Ouya.

They are also no longer aiming for an April 2013 release (which was the most recent tentative goal). It's going to take longer than that, but no new release estimate yet.
Alpaca guitar: waterproof carbon fiber acoustic guitar. $425/unit. Sounds great, plus you can whack people on the head with it.

Also, Unwoman's cover album is ending soon. I got swag from the previous kickstarter in the mail yesterday (yay Russian post, you're da champs) - incredible production values, raised my pledge just because.

I'm actually curious about the dfa. are all their resources and time being put into the kids project?. I seemed to get impression of what I've found that they are doing dfa and other non skills stuff at same time? am I wrong?

I don't fully understand what you wrote here, so I can only hope that I'm answering your question, but DFA is just one team within Double Fine. While working on DFA they also developed The Cave, Kinect Party and other stuff.
This project looks very interesting, I hope if it ever gets made it will be availalble on GOG.

Really loved those racers back then, still do. :)

sorry about grammar lol.yes that's what I was after.I would hope the three mill was pumped in the dfa game only if that's the case.

It is. DFA's a relatively large company for an indie, so they've got multiple teams doing different things at once, but all Kickstarter money goes right to DFA (well, I mean, aside from fees and reward production and such).

ET3D: Are you implying that they should replace that face shot with a facial shot?
I think they'll reach their funding goal without that - wouldn't do them any harm though. :)

nijuu: When is the wave of adventure and board games on KS going to stop? So many of them...
Weren't you asking a few pages back if everyone was Kickstarted out? :D

More seriously, those types of projects are easier to do - adventures don't need super-sophisticated 3D engines or genius-level AI and board game manufacturing is a pretty well developed area.

Getting back to Dreamfall Chapters, Ragnar did an Ask Me Anything interview and some of the info there is quite interesting (playable Crow, re-using voice actors from Dreamfall, no dying but some alternate "failure" scenarios - and only 10 hours gameplay with the budget planned...).

I heard about and looks interesting, but for people who likes to pledge to get at least a copy of the game, Gambitious crowdfunding service isn't much attractive because the reward is a parcel of the profits (copy of the game only donating minimum of €40 in this case)

Probably not for those who cant afford to throw money around. A train sim doesnt really inspire any interest from me...
Not sure if mentioned, but I'm excited about this. Scratches was pretty good (needing some polish and a better ending, but this has promise)
