aluinie: Legend of Dawn managed to get its $25k funding. Looks like a good solid game and the developers are pretty active and it looks like a labour of love for them. Link is a few pages back but for anyone who is interested in an open world action rpg here it is again

Cool that this one's really close to release once the KS ends. I like the exploration focus, I'll definitely be looking into it more.

Noctemis looks awesome. I feel like they could use better stretch goals, though. Nothing wrong with more platform compatibilities, obviously, but none of the stretch goals actually add more content to the game.

There seems to be new pledge tiers in order to reach those stretch goals -- I don't think they'll manage the $45,000 to get the mod tools, but it does look like they want to create a community around LoD.

Is there anywhere to sample the soundtrack, I wonder, since I can't decide on how much to go in for? I suppose the new tiers with extra digital copies to give away would make good GOG giveaways... that is, if the game is as good as it looks. =P

PaulDenton: Did anybody mention Mine Kafon yet? A project dedicated to build an inexpensive device to detonate land mines, well worth IMHO
It's a great project but unfortunately my mind always reads that name as "Mein Kampf".

It's pretty much a gadget, and nothing else.
Most people don't wear watches except as jewelry these days considering that cellphones give all the functions you could expect from a watch.
finally.I kept hassling them about it til they caved in. they really took a longtime in confirming even the game being DRM free at all.hooray for gog!!!

Can you actually go outside in a business shopping centre and have a look? I notice more things than most and i see an awful lot of people wearing watches mate. Also mobile phone batteries die.Fast especially when people use it as a game machine or playing music or movies...hence thats why i went back to wear watches.Cant have a mobile turned on in a lot of work places too.. so watches handy..

I do go outside you know. And I see what my students and colleagues wear. And pretty much every one of them uses their cellphone exclusively to tell time.
There are only a few who still use watches.

Maybe its different over there. Or perhaps different demographic? hmmmmm
I've dug out this: Hand to Mouth, a very... unique Internet cooking show.
It's either better than it initially sounds or I'm too sleep deprived to tell. Either way - it has only 50h left, has passed its goal but a very modest increment could expand the project a smidge...
