BadDecissions: Tried to raise $280, 000 for Deleware St. John. Failed miserably with $4000. Tried again to raise $45,000 for Delaware St. John; failed again with $4000. Now, trying to raise $40,000 for another game. I sort of admire his "never say die" attitude, but I'm getting a kind of hopeless vibe from all this.

overread: I think the thing is when projects are in the investment funding stage there is always a lot of rejection. I suspect many have to appeal to many potential investors just to get the few that they need to back a project.
With crowd sourcing the rules change a little; you've got to have investment capital initially or at least the capacity to advertise your product extensively to the market. I also suspect that the time of year has a lot to do with things (I would suspect expecting more failed or rocky ground fundraisers over the next month or two as Christmas drains peoples pockets).
It is not just Christmas, it's also the fiscal cliff issue. And I guess the Mayan calendar thing...

But it is pretty much the kickstarter site has changed the way you advertise and you can't just sit and wait. You really have to know how to market.

Very surprised that he hasn't finished the successful project before starting another with barely any announcement in any media. Plus it is misleading to call it a point and click adventure game when it has turn based RPG combat.
Our very own CymTyr has a Kickstarter project:

Quest for Glory is usually considered an adventure game, so I don't think it's too much of a stretch to call this an adventure game too.
Shadow of the Century has been announced as a stretch goal for Fate Core. That's Spirit of the Century taken to 1984. I think it's pretty exciting.

Project Eternity should be called an adventure game too by that loose definition...

Full Bore - an underground puzzle adventure. The developers even explain where the money's going to, which is always a plus point.

Well, if you're saying that you've never considered Quest for Glory an adventure game, that's okay. I think that most people would consider a game with a 2D adventure style art and adventure style puzzles an adventure game, even if it has extra (especially optional) elements. Project Eternity doesn't fall into this definition in any way.
New browser turn-based RPG on indiegogo, a one-man-army project which needs your support. Started not long ago, so your support is very important now!

Combat is optional and there are adventure like puzzles for both. Some are fervent over the RPG aspects for the Sierra title too and promote it as such.

Anyways this game could be categorized as an RPG and/or adventure and/or action and/or everything:
