Hey is that the same Jonathan Green who wrote the Pax Britannia series?

-edit- Yes! Yes it is! Awesome :D

Will add it to the list on Wednesday, to keep the updates orderly.

Woah woah wait wait a second. The Consortium guys have 21 games planned in that universe? 21?! Man, now it's going to be even more depressing if they don't make it.

Also, don't think this one was mentioned yet. Anima: Gate of Memories, an action RPG based on the p&p system Anima: Beyond Fantasy. Sounds like it has potential, but I want to hear more about gameplay. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1188790300/anima-gate-of-memories-0?ref=users
Yeah it was mentioned. I'd actually wanted to add it in, but decided against it when I learned of the gameplay designs they have in mind - one of which is QTE. Everything else also sounds really vague. I'm sure these guys can deliver a product, since the PnP RPG seems quite popular; I'm just not sure if it has a remote chance of being good.

I'll still add it to the list if there's sufficient demand for it though.

tarohilt: Interesting, an iphone 5 case that doubles as an e-ink reader, and it's fully funded with 38 days to go

popSLATE--Second Screen Smart Case for Your iPhone 5

That's a very cool product! Not that I'm ever going to own an iPhone (or spend $100 on a Kickstarter project), but I want one now!
Larry Elmore is including "dragon doodles" (unique for each book) to those that pledge an extra $25 - international backers (who are paying $49 extra for postage) get these automatically.

He's also a good way towards the next stretch goal ($200,000) where the page count goes up (again) to 336 pages.

The Dead Linger (remember them?) plan to release alpha build 004 soon. Why is this significant? Well build 003 brought in a compulsory login requirement, even for singleplayer, and following complaints Sandswept have said that build 004 will remove this, making TDL DRM-free as promised.

Tried to raise $280, 000 for Deleware St. John. Failed miserably with $4000. Tried again to raise $45,000 for Delaware St. John; failed again with $4000. Now, trying to raise $40,000 for another game. I sort of admire his "never say die" attitude, but I'm getting a kind of hopeless vibe from all this.

I guess that the Deleware St. John games don't have a big fan-base.
The Red Queen of Oz graphic novel was an unexpectedly big success for him, so I think this campaign is testing that success.
If the backers of the graphic novel are also gamers, it might have a chance.
Here's a nice-looking board game:

Not pledging myself, but I saw a pirate crab in there. It must get funded.
Here's one for elmofongo. ;)

Tainted Fate, a first-person horror game with some interesting ideas. In addition, it's going for a bit of an over-the-top scary-but-entertaining Evil Dead/Drag Me To Hell feel instead of a game that makes you want to kill yourself like Amnesia. Looks like it has potential. http://www.indiegogo.com/taintedfate

Yes, The Red Queen of Oz was quite a success the second time it ran. He did plan that as a stepping stone towards an adventure game (see my interview with him from the time of the first Kickstarter project), so it's not a surprise that he's trying it.

I admire his tenacity, and I like the look of The Red Queen of Oz.

I think the thing is when projects are in the investment funding stage there is always a lot of rejection. I suspect many have to appeal to many potential investors just to get the few that they need to back a project.
With crowd sourcing the rules change a little; you've got to have investment capital initially or at least the capacity to advertise your product extensively to the market. I also suspect that the time of year has a lot to do with things (I would suspect expecting more failed or rocky ground fundraisers over the next month or two as Christmas drains peoples pockets).

gandalf.nho: New projects:

War for the Overworld, a Dungeon Keeper inspired game

SlipSpace, a space shooter/action-RPG
Hi,

I am Giles Allensby one of the two developers of SlipSpace

First of all thanks for the mention, I am happy to say we now have a new gameplay trailer up on our kickstarter page which shows what we have been doing in the past 12 days since the kick launched and also shows some of the things that were not included in the previous video such as space station docking and exploring and the galaxy view for choosing the destination system when in slipspace.

We're currently hard at work on SlipSpace and will be working throughout Christmas (Excluding some days of course) and will be doing more frequent updates on the kickstarter page now that the new trailer has been released.

So please head over and have a look at the new trailer and thanks for the support so far.
