Nice, that and Miasmata prove that big-budget isn't needed for brilliant engines.

Maia and Limit Theory also are using self-made engines.

Forgot about Maia, didn't he work for a big games company before Maia?

Also, 11 hours until Turn to page 400 ends, they're cross-promoted with Arcana Agency, so if you get extra stuff if you pledge to both http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mmbroadcast/turn-to-400-the-fighting-fantasy-documentary-film

He worked for Frontier Developments, the guys of the Elite KS.
Quick question.
What do people think of the fact some projects go KS first (successful) then Indiegogo ?..Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

It just proves that most new companies have very slim idea of what the development actually costs.
and StarForge ended successfully, 181% funded at $135.5k

If they've had a successful Kickstarter (and mention it on their IndieGoGo page) then I'd say it differs little from projects setting up a Paypal donation after/during their KS (which several high profile ones have). In such a case, it allows people who missed the KS to join in as well as those who can't/won't deal with Amazon Payments, so could be considered a continuation of an existing campaign.

On the other hand, if a project runs a separate campaign after receiving funding (i.e. there's a definite gap between the old and new campaigns), that looks questionable. It could be done with good intentions ("We've managed to produce a great game but just need a little more to make it aw3s0m3!") but then there's little to distinguish it from those, as Tomimt notes, that can't budget properly.

Nothing wrong with that. Indiegogo campaigns give people who missed the Kickstarter window a second chance to back the project and acquire its tier rewards. You'd probably not have been able to back M.O.R.E. had the team not put up an IGG campaign :)

I do, however, take issue with projects that aren't forthcoming about their past involvement with Kickstarter when they set up an Indiegogo campaign.
