lowyhong: This looks interesting. Not sold on the pitch, but may put it in if they talk more about the combat system.

Starmaker: JRPGish, probably. Their personalization tiers are higher than those of Wasteland & Project Eternity, wat? (On the other hand, a purple-haired girl is always a plus.)
I asked to the creator and he answered the gameplay will more JRPG-oriented but they are aiming for a more western look, but the JRPG aspects don't include the massive grinding to be able to confront some megaboss in very long battles.

AstralWanderer: MMO only but still likely to be of interest to RPGer's:

Pathfinder Online: A Fantasy Sandbox MMO (Jan 15)
I want to see a traditional CRPG using Pathfinder, as the unofficial sucessor of D&D 3.5 is strange nobody is trying to create this

Here is a summary of the progress of various Kickstarter projects:

Quite interesting in my opinion.
That RP&S article seemed to miss the point, that on some projects, like Tex and SpaceVenture, the updates were ment to be backer only. They were not meant to be advertisements, but more rewards. And on some point's the writer seemed a bit butthurt for not being able to see the material not meant for bigger public.

He has a professional opinion on how the games should be promoted. He totally gets that "backer-only updates" were meant to be rewards, he just thinks that it's extremely stupid and impractical and if projects creators had had at least half a brain, they wouldn't have offered backer-only updates as a reward in the first place.

So I think he's offended by (perceived) stupidity, not by him personally not being able to see super sekrit stuff. If anything, without openly published content, a journalist can gather more exclusive scoop for an article by making a direct enquiry and get those precious cents per word.
Maia termined succesfully achieving £140,481. A IndieGoGo campaign is in progress for PayPal backers and all pledges donated until december 20 will count to the stretch goals: http://www.indiegogo.com/maiagame

The indiegogo pledge amounts are current exchange rate prices for Pounds Sterling verrsus US dollar. And the tiers are the very basic tiers. ( no bundles no animal customization).
Even though Partia, a T-RPG for iOS devices (and on android, at some point), failed its KS campaign a few months ago,t they still managed to release it : https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/partia/id572432485?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4

on the other hand those updates wouldn't propably be done at all, if not for the backers. It is rather rare to see behind a making of a game on this early stage.
