Another Kickstarter Cancelled. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/379129851/armada-online?ref=activity
It seems to be happening more often lately.
For anybody tracking it, Devobots has been funded, it's just a matter now of waiting on the release.

gandalf.nho: Regarding the Catacombs kickstarter about porting the series to Iphone, I asked the author about including the original MS-DOS ones as rewards or contact GOG about sell them here and he answered they just reached agreement with GOG and soon we will able to buy them.
I missed that in your post last time. I asked him about that as well and it is in the works. I'm not sure if that means they've signed a licensing agreement or if they're working on that. I do know that there are some compatibility issues with the game in DOSBox which are rather inconvenient. The games do work fine, but in some of the games you have a hard time knowing if you're being hit because DOSBox doesn't support emulating CRT borders.

But, other than that and the screen flicker, it shouldn't be too hard for them to get it running reliably.

Here is one Kickstarter that should get more attention. Not directly gaming related, but a very good cause.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1523727102/10terra-eco-friendly-cases-for-ipad-iphone-nexus-7

Eco friendly cases for iProducts and Nexus 7. Those bamboo cases look really good. Pledged in for the Nexus cover, tad dear with shipping to UK. But it is for a good cause. Eco friendly and all.

writer2036: Can we please help this lady http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/333626991/steampunk-postcards-and-greeting-cards get over the line. She only has 100 dollars to go with a goal of 1000 dollars. With only 33 hours remaining. I found her story very touching and sad as I have family members who have terminal cancer. I really hope she can get her project funded.
You did it man, you did it!

The pendant looks very nice. I'm actually quite tempted to get one, but oh well. $50 is too rich for my blood.

I found this wizard of oz movie kickstarter just yesterday. The people making it want it to be the best and closest adaption to the novelization

The Dreamcast may be a cult classic (IDK I've never played it before), but I can't say I like the way they're handling the KS. I mean, first they call it Armada Online, and now they call it Armada Engine; yet despite the name change, they still reference it as Armada Online. It feels unprofessional.

Still, out of respect, I've added them to the list.

I like that they've dropped porting Armada 1 as a stretch goal and made it part of their long-term plan instead. And at least they're asking for a much more reasonable sum of money this time. Ive backed them.

Looks awesome, but I can't imagine how they're going to complete this with only $5k in pledges. I get that they're looking for costumes and furniture, but even there it seems rather small for the budget.

Still, I'd be backing if I had more money.
