Gothic Games, Painkiller, Aquanox 1 and 2, and more great games 60% off this weekend in our Nordic Nights Promo!

Nordic Nights. They're kind of like nights elsewhere, except for the fact that they don't end for a few months. And the cold. The biting cold that wants to inveigle itself in every crevice, slowly leaching out all heat. Nordic Nights scoff at Polar Vortexes. They hunt Polar Vortexes for their prized blubber and fur. No, wait. That's Polar bears. Our bad.

Regardless, we have great games from Nordic Games, who are going through their long Nordic Night right now, for you to enjoy. Check out our Nordic Nights weekend promo for a variety of top deals. The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief, The Gothic Series, Panzer Elite, Painkiller Black, Aquanox 1 and 2, and more fantastic games from one of our favorite developers of the far North are all available for 60% off!

If you're looking for something to do to keep yourself amused during your own long, cold winter nights, you'd be hard pressed to make a better choice than getting one of these games. Believe us, these guys know what it takes to chase away cabin feverI
Humm, already have all Gothics and Desperados. How's Alien Nations and The Nations?
I've already got Gothic 1, but I'd love to know what's so special about it that precludes it so frequently from being included in promos.

If you like Settlers they're good but I personally found them a little slow and dull. I still have them and play them because sometimes when I'm half asleep that sort of thing is perfect.

Davane: How comes the new Spellforce 2 release isn't part of this promo alongside the other Spellforce games?
avatar
Squork: It's too new release - isn't that obvious?
Correct answer :)

Enjoy our Nordic Nights promotion on GOG.com

Have a great weekend

Piranha Bytes is listed as the publisher for the first game. For the others, Nordic Games.

Oo, ta! Can pick up Spellforce 2 for my GOG shelf, even though I have them elsewhere. Same with Gothic 3. And will throw the first Desperados in there, it sounds quite good.

I believe I should pass on Desperados 2: Cooper's Revenge and Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods from what I've read before, however. And it's a shame Chaser isn't better, it looks like it could be a fun Blood 2 styled romp otherwise. Silver is tempting, but I can only backlog so many RPGs these days before it hits a limit.
Silver rocks! Though one of these days I'll figure out the stupid sewer puzzle without a save after that point.

Silver is a nice game. If you can get over the freaking idiot AI from your companions, and don't ragequit because of that.

Hmm, coupled with what sound like unforgiving puzzles and difficult bosses, I think it's better for my blood pressure if I pass. I had the patience for such things back in the Amiga days, but not any more. :)

XD Well said and I agree. I love it but I wouldn't recommend it to people with a low tolerance for stupidity.

and a small 'bump'. Panzer? too hard, too realistic, anyone?

Behold! The Keane walks among us yet again. Smile upon him, for he is our benevolent guide into sleep and with him he brings short, quickly changing dreams revolving around GOG sales. The latter sign of his coming is oddly specific, but also entirely true for some reason.

Hail Keane!
I hope some gives the Dark Fall games a try. As a huge horror fan I loved the atmosphere in these games. It's the slow burring kind of horror where anything, no matter how ordinary, can seems sinister.

But you might want to consider their difficultly before buying. I can't say I did to well with them. But that might just be because I suck at adventure games.

Even so just for being horror that is 100% atmosphere as opposed to silly run for cover tactics or Jump scares I have recommend them to horror fans, if a little cautiously.

(Barrow Hill by the same guy is not available either here or on Steam. Despite that I'd still recommend it because to date it's still one of the creepiest gaming experiences I've ever had).

I keep meaning to get these, and then for some reason keep putting it off. I'm sold this time, and will get them at last. Thanks!
