Charge into the weekend with [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/nordic_charge]this selection of all-time greats from Nordic Games, all 50% off this weekend!

Gothic II Gold Edition offers everything that should be present in an adventure RPG--massive and interactive world, non-linear story, excellent atmosphere, lovable and dislikeable NPCs, and finally, the chance to do everything how you please: as a ruthless killer, a protective paladin, or a neutral character. You can play this game over and over again, exploring new possibilities and quests each time (especially with the Night of the Raven expansion bundled). Once you’re done with saving the world, fight more threats and complete more quests in Gothic 3 and Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods. All Gothic titles published by Nordic Games are $4.99, this weekend only.

In case boring games give you headache, Painkiller Black Edition will pump you up with insane amounts of adrenaline, once insane amounts of enemies straight from hell will try (and fail) to stop you from having some fun. Everything about this FPS is great: masterfully designed environments, variety of demonic minions, 14 incredible weapons, including the famous gun that “shoots shurikens with lightning”, and gargantuan boss battles. Black Edition includes Painkiller and expansion pack Battle out of Hell. If Painkiller charged you a cent for every bullet fired, you’d be broke after saying “I haven’t had that much fun since Heretic and Quake”. Fortunately, Painkiller Black Edition is available on GOG.com for only $4.99 until Monday, April 23rd at 11.59 p.m. EDT.

Spellforce: Platinum includes the original Spellforce: The Order of Dawn and both the expansions - Spellforce: The Breath of Winter and Spellforce: Shadow of the Phoenix. Spellforce is a great blend of the action and tactics of an RTS with an immerse role-playing experience. Lead your armies through spectacular battles and experience thrilling adventures. Mixing RTS and RPG may be tricky but Spellforce succeeds on so many levels that two fantastic sequels: Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars and Spellforce 2: Dragon Storm were created and, luckily for gamers, are both available on GOG.com. Get the complete Spellforce collection 50% off, while each of the games is $4.99.

Dark Fall: The Journal and the sequel Dark Fall: Lights Out will provide a few decent scares, especially because both supernatural adventures are available for $2.99 each. If you enjoy military simulations grab Panzer Elite SE, extremely historically accurate simulation with lots upon lots of equipment specifications. The Guild Gold Edition, on the other hand, will train you to use blackmail, kidnapping, sabotage or buying your way into a higher position in the government as means to simple earn some more money. Find out how to become a businessman in the late Middle Ages for $4.99.

Check all the titles from Nordic Games available this week and pick your favorite, but remember that this offer ends next Monday, April 23rd on 11.59 p.m. EDT.

ZivilSword: This seems to be the only reasonable edition if you want to have the trilogy and if you want to play it original, i.e. in German.

jpolastre: That's not an option for those of us who do not, you know... speak german. Like me :)
Yes I know, German users here are a minority. But if you are native speaker or can understand German very well, it makes quite sense buying the original version. The same goes for Alien Nations (which I have as a very old CD version). I would buy Alien Nations 2 – if it had original, i.e. German language additionally.

Curunauth: You're not missing much; I suggest spending your money elsewhere, on almost any of the other FPS games on offer here, even a mess like Second Sight. It is very bland and has little to recommend it, plus a hearty helping of significant design flaws. (My detailed thoughts are the third review here, at the moment: http://www.gog.com/gamecard/chaser#reviews=4 ; the lead review highlights some of the same points.) If you do get it, look through the control configuration to find your adrenaline key - it slows down time, which is incredibly useful and completely left out of the tutorial.

OptimusHun: Thanks the heads up, but I decided to like this game when popped up and read the plot. sounds interesting and the game feels like those budget game from Ctiy. Yeah, i like Terrosits Takedwo: Coverst Ops, Alpha Prime, Chrome and even Judge Dredd.
I actually rather liked Judge Dredd ( See first review on page 2, currently: www.gog.com/en/gamecard/judge_dredd_dredd_vs_death#reviews=2 ) - it was short, but quite fun. The (very obvious) budget-ness didn't really bother me, and it had a great feel to it. Plus, a couple of the challenge levels provided actual challenge.

I hope that you enjoy Chaser if you buy it, but I felt that it promised more than it delivered both in gameplay and in story.
I just read on Wikipedia that a new expansion for Spellforce 2 is supposed to come out in June. Does anyone know if Spellforce 2: Faith in Destiny is going to be a standalone expansion? How likely is it that the Spellforce games will go on sale here again at that time?

I don't know 100% for certain but if you search for spellforce and discount or spellforce and sale in the search box you might be able to get an accurate picture of their frequency of sale.

To be honest this just makes me more certain about waiting for some kind of "Gold" or "Platinum" SF2 pack in the future.

timppu: I'm not sure if it has ever been part of any promo discount, at least it wasn't even in the last Christmas sale.
According to my records, I bought Gothic 1 and 2 in late-mid December 2010, the time of the Christmas sale. Buying either one of them at full price during the Christmas sale would have been unlikely, or at least out of character, since I wanted to buy as many of the titles that I wanted that were on sale as I could afford, so I have to assume both of them were discounted at the time.

The previous Christmas sale was a LOT better than the most recent one. I wouldn't expect a return to form. My memory isn't infallible, far from it, but all the same, It's quite likely that it was the only time since I've joined that both Gothic games were on sale at the same time. Particularly annoying, since I believe the first Gothic has gone on sale less often than it's sequels have, leading several people understandably annoyed at the idea of having to start from Gothic 2.
