[url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/1c_wonderful_classics/]RPGs, space management, sci-fi RTSes, fantasy TBS, and (literally) chilling horror--pick your weapon and slay boredom with nine wonderful classics from 1C Publishing.

King's Bounty: The Legend is a treat for all HoMM lovers--you may say its a reimagination of the Heroes series, but it’s one that’s brimming with its own style, ideas, and small details. The game blends strategy and RPG with real time map exploration and turn-based combat in a fantasy world of kings, knights, and mages. Fantasy Wars is a game in a similar genre but a completely different one; it’s a turn-based strategy game played on a hex-based map. You will have to put your tactical thinking to the test against Orcs, Goblins, Elves, and Dwarves. The victory not always lays with the strongest army, so use the landscape and organize cooperation between different units to maximize your chances for victory. Both Fantasy Wars and King's Bounty: The Legend are available 50% for only $4.99 this weekend on GOG.com.

Space Rangers and Space Rangers 2: Dominators are both games like you’ve never seen before. An eclectic mix of turn-based combat strategy, 4X game, third-person shooter, trade simulation, and arcade shooter, this mashup should probably explode right in the devs faces, but instead these games pop with charm, playability, and fast pacing. Although the series is not widely known, you cannot afford to miss such unique, complex and fun series, and it’s only $4.99 for each of the games now on GOG.com.

If you miss the X-Com series, you're probably feel right at home when playing UFO: Aftermath. And if you liked it, you're going to love UFO: Aftershock. Once you’re done with the second invasion, you can complete the trilogy with UFO: Afterlight. UFO is a series of sci-fi tactical strategy games with nice engine, good game mechanics, and hundreds of aliens to blast.

This promo ends next Monday, May 15 11:59 PM EDT, but until then you can pick up the wonderful classics aboce as well as getting the excellent tactical/rpg space game Star Wolves and Cryostasis: The Sleep of Reason, a cold and dark horror set in the Arctic Circle. Both of these games are $4.99 this weekend only.
Btw, Cryostasis shows the game being 3.9GB, and if manually download it has 3 files listed as 1MB, 2GB and 2GB. The downloader though says the game is only 2.87GB. Trying to manually download it seems that the installer trully is 2.9GB (or thereabout). So, type in the page, updated installer, or something messed up?

timppu: Anyway, it seems to be a hit and miss with that 100€ bundle, some games in it are with DRM, some are not.
lol try less than 20€, it got a massive discount that time.

sure, but that concern is only valid if you happen to give a crap about DRM like a simple online activation, which i don't. so 20€ for some 80+ games was one hell of a deal.

LIkely something wrong on the page. I'll let Product know.
Not bad, that said I took advantage of an offer on Gamers Gate for the entire 1C collection, (60ish games i think and all of the ones here) for 16 quid
Strange that no Allods are on gog or how is it called here, rage of mages i guess. Those really were great. And 3rd part wasalso superb, dunno if it was localized in west though. Name - Cursed Lands in russian

inc09nito: ... and the game is fricking hard for a gamer like me, who likes to play strategy games only from time to time. But yes, looks cool (if you don't mind ultra-green-eyes-killing grass color) and concept is really nice.

Personally I've been thinking of UFO: Aftershock, but 10 / 5 $ is too much for this game IMO. It really lacks in some areas, while still being quite enjoyable... Please GOG, bring X-COM series here!
Not so much. You just have to learn how it works. I struggled at the start of human campaign a bit and still I was able to finish the campaign without too much hassle. After this I was able to get gold on every orcish mission on normal. There are 3 difficulty levels and you don't have to aim for gold in each mission and it is perfectly managable on easy and bronze (I believe too easy). So it is as difficult as you want it to be. ;-)
Great sale. Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to get any of the four games I lack. If not, there's always next time...
Don't forget about Star Wolves people, that game was surprisingly more fun than I expected.

So, if you get better deals elsewhere most of the time and don't care about DRM, why do you still shop here? Are there some titles you've gotten here that aren't easy to track down elsewhere, or what?

I'd say that's why a lot of people came here to be honest.
FINALLY, I've been waiting the UFO series coming to sale!

Finally grabbed them all, I still have some good memories with Aftermath (Not so much with Aftershock, but I might give another shot).

Thanks GoG, this was golden opportunity.

Fred_DM: i already have all those games from the 1C Complete Pack that was recently on sale on GamersGate. paid less, too....
It's all so cliche, everything GOG do these days.. are always lagging behind you.

Palvikinkku: Not so much with Aftershock, but I might give another shot.
Grab both "Weapon Rebalance" and "Heroic Assault" from here. The game becomes much more enjoyable (and harder), but be warned that you will get your ass kicked the first times you meet new enemies. Also, with Weapon Rebalance, it is quite possible that some weapons will do 0 damage to an enemy, so learn to have some different weapon types with you (energy, plasma and sonic for example, or some incendiary explosives).

Thanks from the tip, will try if I decide to run Aftershock.

...After I get my Aftermath to work, that is :3
Nice promo.
If someone hasn't yet picked up the Space Rangers games and have a knack for sandbox-style games, now is the perfect occasion to grab them (especially SR2, which is superior just about in every way to SR1, and the story is not that great that you'd lose much by only playing the second installment - that said, the first episode is still a good game on its own).
I'm sure the other games are neat, too, but I have most experience with the Space Rangers games.
