[url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/1c_wonderful_classics/]RPGs, space management, sci-fi RTSes, fantasy TBS, and (literally) chilling horror--pick your weapon and slay boredom with nine wonderful classics from 1C Publishing.

King's Bounty: The Legend is a treat for all HoMM lovers--you may say its a reimagination of the Heroes series, but it’s one that’s brimming with its own style, ideas, and small details. The game blends strategy and RPG with real time map exploration and turn-based combat in a fantasy world of kings, knights, and mages. Fantasy Wars is a game in a similar genre but a completely different one; it’s a turn-based strategy game played on a hex-based map. You will have to put your tactical thinking to the test against Orcs, Goblins, Elves, and Dwarves. The victory not always lays with the strongest army, so use the landscape and organize cooperation between different units to maximize your chances for victory. Both Fantasy Wars and King's Bounty: The Legend are available 50% for only $4.99 this weekend on GOG.com.

Space Rangers and Space Rangers 2: Dominators are both games like you’ve never seen before. An eclectic mix of turn-based combat strategy, 4X game, third-person shooter, trade simulation, and arcade shooter, this mashup should probably explode right in the devs faces, but instead these games pop with charm, playability, and fast pacing. Although the series is not widely known, you cannot afford to miss such unique, complex and fun series, and it’s only $4.99 for each of the games now on GOG.com.

If you miss the X-Com series, you're probably feel right at home when playing UFO: Aftermath. And if you liked it, you're going to love UFO: Aftershock. Once you’re done with the second invasion, you can complete the trilogy with UFO: Afterlight. UFO is a series of sci-fi tactical strategy games with nice engine, good game mechanics, and hundreds of aliens to blast.

This promo ends next Monday, May 15 11:59 PM EDT, but until then you can pick up the wonderful classics aboce as well as getting the excellent tactical/rpg space game Star Wolves and Cryostasis: The Sleep of Reason, a cold and dark horror set in the Arctic Circle. Both of these games are $4.99 this weekend only.
Excellent collection, will pick up the only one I'm missing.
Make sure to check out the UFO:A? games, they do deserve to be played, even if they ain't exactly X-Com

Indeed. I suspect that the reason why they got such a bad rap is because people expected X-com, and while similar, they are not identical.
Also, the first game in the series is the worst (though it is still pretty good). The later entries fixes most of the issues that the series had.

And don't forget Fantasy Wars, a great TBT, along the line of Panzer General. Challenging, but never unfair.
Still no expansion for Space Rangers 2, right? :(
Nothing for me.. besides there was a 1C promo relatively soon.
Already bought the 1C complete pack from GamersGate... this will have to wait...

This is really a shame. SR2: Reboot is one of my top favorite games. Completely shocked me when I picked it up, it's great. SR2 is still roughly the same game if I'm not mistaken but it's just a shame the expansion isn't included :/
Good promo, even if I already have the games I want from it. I hope you manage to get Armoured Princess and Crossworlds sometime soon.
Another weekend nothing for me. Sorry GOG.
I was almost ready to cry that yet another promo where I have everything already, but... Cryostasis! It interests me enough to shell out $5 for it, and my next PC will have Geforce anyway so I should be set then...

I agree with others that GOG should get Space Rangers 2: Reboot here too, like they should have many other missing expansions and such.
*finally* Getting Kings Bounty :)

i already have all those games from the 1C Complete Pack that was recently on sale on GamersGate. paid less, too....
You guys are sure making my credit card company happy :-p
Does anyone know if the UFO games are similar in terms of gameplay to Incubation (Battle Isle 4)?

These games are the only ones I would consider picking up from this sale. Cryostasis/King's Bounty are great, but I already have the DVDs...

Haven't played Incubation (yet), so I can't compare them, but I can give you a bit of information if you want, and I can also suggest reading this thread.
Tactical combat is Real Time with Pause, not turn based, you only have one squad of 5 people, which can later be upgraded to 7, and you do have a fair bit of research and manufacturing to do.
