GOGers need more old wargames!

Wargames is the genre I find the most lacking on GOG. There are tons of really old games that I'd love to be able to play again.

Anyone know if GOG is planning to release some or is working on getting games from say SSI or SSG?
I agree but its not everyone's cup of tea.

Not sure if there are a lot of gamers out there interested in this genre.

Don't forget History Line: 1914-1918.

My personal fav :)
Yeah it's kind of a niche genre and would probably not sell as well as more popular genres. Unless word got out among The Grognards that GOG is selling old wargames dirt cheap. GOG have to start selling them first of course.

I remember having tons of fun with Historyline: 1914-1918. Megacanons rule! :)
For me, war games are right up there with model train simulators. Yaawwwn!

My friend plays a lot of "Hearts of Iron" and "Hearts of Iron II". It looks to be of decent depth for a strategy title, and the rating are good for those titles. Wouldn't mind seeing them make an appearance here.

Not according to Hot Shots: Part Deux and there is great wisdom in that movie.

If you haven't played them before - I would suggest Panzer General II as a very friendly introduction.
Anyone remember that old classic on the coin operated arcades where you controlled a crosshair with a ball and had to stop nukes (looked like lines) from hitting the city? Had to time it just right?

Now THAT was a wargame!

Man I miss that game. Spent a lot of cash on that one!

Fantastic or Hell? And here *I* thought war never changes.

GOG also sells Strategic Command. It's got good reviews and I downloaded a demo but haven't played it.

Strategic Command is a fun light wargame. Very fun if you play it with a friend and lots of beer.
