Not to mention, the extras you get with the GOG versions that you don't get with the Steam version.
Please tell me that you're gonna release Pod *_*
I can't wait to play this game again

Ouch.

Oh, lawd. Sorry, GoG, but Steam wins this time...

I actually would like to see more of this behavior.
I have no interest in the pack because I already have BGE. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic was lame from what I played and I suck at flying games. This leaves Far Cry, which I'd just as soon buy at GOG, if at all.

klaymen: HoMaM series = instabuy even although I own them already all (except the very first one), I hope that HoMaM II:PoL won't crash as often as my retail does (if it will arrive here)
Prince of Persia = instabuy
Rainbow six also instabuy
Man, I wonder if my salary will be enough for those, not to mention I did not buy Cannon fodder and another games yet.
For me HoMM serie is instabuy too. I own them already all (really all)...
[Disclaimer: This may be boring for anyone but me, sorry =S]
- Heroes III, Heroes III Armaggedon's Blade,
- Heroes III in value pack (because I didn't have the game at hand at the time),
- Heroes III Linux (to be sure to able to play whenever happens =),
- Heroes III Complete edition (to get Heroes III Shadow of Death, not purchased in time, unavailable in classic box since),
- Heroes V Collector edition,
- Heroes Complete Edition (to definitely get all existent games and add-ons in a beautiful package)!
[/Disclaimer]
But I'll buy them all again on GOG for the convenience and bonuses (no DRM, no CD, artwork, soundtrack) and for guaranteed compatibility with XP/Vista (and 7)...
I think I'm totally addicted =).

Al1: Down the years, Ubi have also bought out: Massive Entertainment, the makers of World in Conflict, so we could see their previous series Ground Control; Reflections, so we could see the original Driver or Destruction Derby; Sunflowers Interactive, the makers of the Anno games; Red Storm, so any and all of the Tom Clancy games may end up on GOG; and as already mentioned Blue Byte (Settlers et all).
Of course this is all speculative, and is subject to Ubi being willing to put these games up at an resonable price, and their not being some weird copyright ownership over these games.

I'm not sure. Just for no DRM, XP/Vista compatibility and bonus I think GOG is better.

So heroes of Might of Magic was supossed to be released today but it didn't because the GOG wanted a better selling price? it's pretty awesome that they would ask Ubisoft that considering they could have took the 10 dollar price.

Yeah, to be honest I just realized the only game I want from that 4-pack is Far Cry (I have Dark Messiah, hate Beyond Good and Evil, and am not interested in a fighter plane game at the moment), so I'll save onto my money until they release Far Cry on GoG.
I'm hoping they dig up some of the older stuff like Prince of Persia (original) and Rayman. Most of the stuff they are releasing now is cool, but it's more recent and I've already played most of them.
If I buy Desert Seige and Island thunder from Ubi, should they install ok over a gog version of Ghost Recon? I know I can buy Ghost Recon from Ubi for the same price, but I want to support gog and not sure if the Ubi version has DRM or not.
Also, if gog ever get's the expansions over here, think we'll be upgraded to Ghost Recon Gold, or does everyone think it would be sold separately?
avatar
Gexecuter: Is GOG gonna sell the ghost recon expansions in the future as well? i noticed that they are on steam for 5 bucks each.

They're probelbly available to gog, but they have a sticky situation here. They either have to bend there priceing down a dollar to match Ubi and steams prices, and sell them separately to the game which gog hasn't done here yet. They've always included them with the game. Maybe when Ubi sells Ghost Recon Gold for $9.99, gog will get too also, and we'll all get an upgrade.

Would loooooove Rayman 2. :)
GOG has Steam beat because GOG has no DRM while Steam IS DRM.
Also some steam versions of games are not mod-able (like Rome - Total War, tons of very high quality mods, but none work with the steam version of RTW).

I notice that Ubisoft owns the publishing rights for the Might and Magic series.
I also noticed today my wife looking on Amazon for old boxed copies of Might and Magic games.
This combination suggests a source of almost certain revenue for GOG.
