Bulls**t! I've been keeping an eye on the Ubi forums all day and the complaints have not stopped. When did the attacks stop and when did they resume? Or are they expecting us to believe that this has been a sustained attack for DAYS now?
Edit: The Ubisoft mods have now done the mature thing and deleted over 250 posts of complaints.

Why not just remove all complaints and complaint threads? Then they can pretend everything is fine...

They seem to have merged everything into one separate thread. There's 27 pages of complaints on it anyway so it's not like they're trying to hide anything.

The Community mods might not be trying to hide anything, but Ubi certainly is.

Um, Ubi guys, that's not an attack, that's just your customers trying to play their legally purchased game.

Yes I spotted that, however a considerable number of posts have been deleted in the move. I'm sure a mod will say that was done by accident.

I believe you are not far from the truth. They are getting pinged like crazy by several thousand copies of Arse Cred 2 all trying to authenticate at once.

Didn't all GOGers call this from at least a month ago that it would be epic fail. Though we underestimated the amount of fail, people can't even register their games so it's even more funny. Stupid game devs are funny............

Pretty much. I have certainly found today highly entertaining. I'm sure I would not be feeling the same if I had bought the game though.
Looking at the new complaint thread it seems someone has found a fix on their own with no help from Ubisoft by editing a .txt file. Of course Ubisoft are not sharing this info with their customers. There are now also complaints that save games are now dissapearing which is even more hilarious given that saves being stored on the cloud was one of the reported benefits of this 'service'.
Well, I think they release it in the US tomorrow . . that should take some of the load off of their servers . . . oh, wait . .
I just made the mistake of visiting the AC2 forums and oh my gawd, the ignorance on display there is astounding. Just by way of example, there is a thread with a poll about removing the DRM from this and all future Ubi games. So far, the poll favors the removal (71 votes to 11), but the responses are almost comical, but so very sad at the same time:
"DRM only protects the consumer! Filthy pirates won't have that DRM. Our version is clearly better in every way."
"the drm dosnt hurt the consumer it hurt the pirate. it proctects consumer from pirate other wsie game would be unplayable due to the piarates ruing everyithing for everyone. youre understanig of how drm work is flawed and need o stody up more"
"How many pirates have access to the full game? That's right. We can't play it now, but we had a chance and we'll get to play again soon.
Ubisoft - 1
Pirates - 0"
"that is not point drm is to stop piraters and it working very well all the ppl comlaning aout not working are probably piraters and it proove that drm is working very well as no piarter jhas ruin my experiences"
"i voted to kep the drm becuz i don't support the pirate downloaders and i know that taking the drm away will only let pirates play my game! xD"
I laugh at this, but inside, I'm really crying. :(

They're Ubisoft sockpuppets used to spread misinformation and create a false sense of acceptance of Ubisoft's DRM. That's the only explanation I will accept.

Eh, sockpuppets are rarely necessary in the gaming world. Look at the console fanboy culture. Companies could not fabricate more aggressive, zealous followers.

Let's just say it: aggressive, zealous and flat out retarded followers.
The pro-Ubisoft supporters are borderline deranged. Even the Ubisoft moderators must be reading their comments in bewilderment.

I doubt even the Steam moderators would think twice about encouraging that level of deranged fanboyism.
