Wow my first time on the codex fourms and what a sour, grouchy place.

I def don't think your project will take off this time but with a new proposal in the future I would probably donate. I love the art style and turn based sounds good. Hope you find future success.

SubBassman: Even a small pledge is a good pledge, I'd say. They can raise it later before the deadline.

oldschool: I like what you are doing, but at the time i am completely cash strapped, otherwise i would donate to this project. I am assuming that you are one of the developers behind this project, if not please forgive the assumption.

The one big question that i would like to ask is after the games completion will it be available from your website DRM-free? I wouldn't mind paying a higher price for the game but as i stated earlier i am currently cash strapped at the moment.

Thanks for your time, and best of luck with your funding effort.
1. Yes, I'm one of the authors of TH.

2. Even 1 dollar helps us if you don't have more at the moment. If you happen to get more in the next 21 days, you can raise it anytime.

3. The game will be available for download from our website, DRM free.

4. On top of material support, moral support is also very important to us. Please spread the word on forums and even kickstarter.

Thank you for your interest

If you like the artwork, see my points above. The more people know about TH, the bigger the chance it can be done.
Thank you.

BTW, what kind of demo character would you guys like to see?
Hero with sword?
Caster?
Or something else?
What race?
What gender?
Another question: what other information do you think we should add to an update?
There was a new update with the first GUI mockup. There will be more GUI stuff and a long interview is coming up as well.

Please join us on Facebook:

The graphics demo they showed kind of reminds me of Dragon Quest. (I like)

It looks interesting although I'm pretty sure I saw some game in the kickstarter lineup called Tortured Hearts a little while ago and it didn't grab me enough for me to click on it...which is unfortunate. (edit: Actually I was thinking of something else, I can't seem to find your game anywhere.....kickstarter ought to put it in staff picks)

I don't think they will make the 300k (I mean Jane Jensen has a lot of rep and even her kickstarter is just ambling along) but I'm still interested to see what happens with the game.

So, what will happen if this kickstarter is unsuccessful?

We're going to kickstart a demo of TH.

Nevertheless, we still have 17 days. :)

If you guys like the GUI mockup, the storyline and have faith in us, please consider pledging.
Interview soon... hopefully today...

Many of our current backers have backed Wasteland 2, The Banner Saga, Shadowrun etc. If you you have a similar interest, then you'll surely enjoy our game.

Also, finally it's picking up. We just need you and bring another guy to help!

Thank you

Visit our page please.
With the help of RPG lovers we can do this.
Thanks in advance
People are getting to know the project and it shows.
Come and help us, mates. :)

We still have more than 2 weeks.
Well... almost half of the amount raised so far comes from a single person that pledged $3,000. Make of that what you will.

I find the concept of mixing 3D and cartoon graphics very appealing and the few that is visible of it in the video looks attractive. I'd definitely spend $10-20 dollars on such a game, if it's as good as it seems. What keeps me from funding it though are three points:

1. While the environment looks good, there is no hint about how NPCs and combats will be integrated into the game. Will the NPCs be visible in the 3D view? If so, will they just stand around or move? If not, will they appear out of thin air, with invisible trigger in the 3D environment opening up dialogue windows? Will the art sytle be consistent, how will character portraits look, how will the combat screen and characters look, provided the latter don't appear in 3D view? How does the combat work, other than being turn-based? How well written is the dialogue? I'd like to see a sample. I understand that the game's still in development, but it would be helpful to at least read something about this on the Kickstarter page.

2. I fear my PC might not meet the system requirements as it happens with a lot of more recent games. Are they specified anywhere?

3. Last but not least, my only option for international payment on the internet is PayPal, so sadly I'm not even in teh target group for this Kickstarter action. :( But hopefully, my thoughts here can still be of use to reach your goal of gathering the project more attentionn and trust.
