Every single one of these is True

Can developers and publishers stop this bullshit?

no, each point is important, and your just trolling.
I love it that when talking about DRM, he shows Origin, GFWL, Uplay (an optional reward service, completely harmless), Ubisoft Game Launcher, yet somehow "forgets" to mention Steam.
Valve started the whole "internet activation and mandatory installation of a client required to play" nonsense.

Apart from that, he does make a lot of valid points. I hate "dynamic cutscenes", sprinting and QTEs with a passion, too.

What he basically means is that modern (mainstream) games have become oversimplified entertainment, which is sadly true.
From the list i mostly miss manuals, as I remember my PS1 manuals. Most of them were 50+ pages. I still have most of them somewhere.
Also blood covering the screen is mega-annoying. At the moments I'm near-death, last thing I want/need is something covering most of my screen so I don't even see what am I shooting at.
I ignore most of the other things, including DLC-s.

Everything i think of DRM especially Ubisoft's one has been said already.
I like motion blur...
My biggest annoyance with modern gaming is all the people who bitch about modern gaming.

Let see now...
1. Blood Covering Screen - Dependable on taste,a lot of people like,a lot not...
2. Motion Blur - it have the option off/on so yes this is not a problem at all
3. Hand Holding - Are you kidding me... this is a peeve?
4. Dynamic Cutscenes - Where is the problem here?
5. Shitty Sidequests - There are shitty mainquests. And there is a big reason that they are sidequests - you have the option not to do them.
6. DLC - One of the points I don't have an argue with the author
7. DRM - same as number 6 ;)
8. XP Systems - Mostly in MP titles & Bulletstorm... where is the problem?
9. Sprinting - Really? How many of the gamers actually hold a gun and run & shoot with it?
10. QTE's - Mainly used in console titles ... I can recall 2-3 PC games that use them...is this the main problem?

Good, I will do it more often then.
I didn't look at the list, but here's some of mine:

Many are too short. If I finish a game, it's too short. I normally buy pc games and play them for years because I'll get tired of them, stop for a while, then go back. But with games like MW and COD, it doesn't take me very long to get through them. And not because I play them more than any other.

On a similar topic, I'd like to see games like those have a little more depth. To me it just seems like "run from point A to point B, shoot everything, move on." I realize some people love that, but I'd like a shooter with some depth and subtlety at times (and no, not just one "use a sniper rifle to take out a few people" scene).

But mostly, for me it comes down to story and options. Seems hard to find a really good, in-depth story with multiple outcomes and changes to storyline (I'll avoid discussing Skyrim because that could take aeons). I think wanting pretty graphics has overtaken writing and development of characters.

I also hate the approach that "everyone must want multi-player!"

I stay away from games with microtransactions. Never bothered with AoE Online for this reason, for example. Microtransactions are even worse than DLC because you get even less.

Also, not really sure what I think about QTE's. They're definitely better than dynamic cutscenes, but meh. I like the cutscenes that you can pause (or click a button to continue) - they're perfect for making popcorn and using the bathroom.
Meh . He forgot to mention Steam in the DRM section .
I don't personally like scenes you cant skip though, but appreciate even less, tutorials you can't bypass at the beginning of a new game. What if I have already played the game?

As far as games being too explicit about what you need to do, I'm sorry but if you are going to sell to the masses you have to cater to the lowest common denominator. That just kinda what has to be done. I'm sure it can be annoying but complaining about how its insulting to one's intelligence can sometimes come off as bragging about one's intelligence.

On the flip side, there are time when for whatever reason you might just have gotten distracted and not having some sort of pointer is frustrating. I've recently taken to playing "Septerra Core" There is no journaling system and sometimes direction comes only if you ask the right person with the right person. Thats a bit annoying in its own right. Balance I guess and all of that.
