Thief Guild missions in Oblivion like Thief games too. But I will get really disappointed if that is true. And I don't remember Bethesda has bought the rights of Thief games.

I would be excited, but considering the current trends for mass market appeal and a console (both design and audience) focus.

And it sucked. It was a generic run of the mill FPS with a nice engine and a gimmicky gravity gun
That said, there's been plenty of good games released since 03, its just a matter of finding them amist franchise rape sequels and endless expansions to the sims

I think gaming died in 2004, Doom 3 being the last game.

Now everything is mass produced trash that tries to copy Doom 3, but it was cutting edge. Even Quake 4 tried too hard.

It seems fitting that this thread was bumped, even if it was to say that HL2 is overrated. (which it is, I enjoyed it, but prefer the first.)
