Gersen: It's called having an opinion... last time I checked it was still legal in some countries.
And your opinion is that you're 'not sure that's what people want'. Isn't that up to whoever those 'people' are to decide?

Here is a nice alternative to the supposedly bad future:

Well-played ;)

Elenarie: 95% of the garbage here on GOG is not real gaming either.
GOG took the clever way around Sturgeon's law tho - only games people remember are here. That ensures at least some quality, as far as old games go anyway.

...I never heard of Baldur's Gate, Ultima, System Shock, Thief, Fallout, and so on and so on.

I do remember at least seeing Grim Fandango on G4 Game Makers (Icons) but I thought it was just that good game, I did not know it was conisdered the perfect adventure game.

Well I never said only games that you in particular remember would be here :-P

It is not. The pace is a little too slow, the controls are terribly clunky and while the puzzles are fun they are not that clever. (Controversy!)

Good game, but not the perfect one.
I think Crytek know their audience. Anyone willing to get an XBone after its showing so far will happily enjoy things like meaningless QTE's.

Controls are on the arrow keys right, like Alone in the Dark?

Yes. and Manny 'looks' (turns head) at items of interest. It can also be controlled by joystick or pad.

tinyE: How is it someone throws a gay slur out and in forty-five minutes no one has told them to eat shit and die? They obviously have the right to post whatever they want but it would have been nice for someone to at least take them to task for it.
Fucking this.

If those are the people who are going to represent core gaming, then games deserve to become movies with quick time events.

...If only the game was released on the PS1 along side pc it would have been a commercial success and LucasArts would still make Adventure games and to anyone who says the PS1 could not handle Grim Fandango I point you to this game:

I was just making fun of the "not real games" thing. :)

EDIT: I see that I have been down-rep-ed... haha, some must be feeling butt-hurt. :D

I'm totally confused. Was that a slam at him or me?
