There aren't groups of people who roam the streets looking to beat and or kill up retarded people, that's why. There are no laws in this country that prohibit retarded people from enjoying the same civil liberties as people who aren't retarded that's why. You never see people marching around with signs that say "AIDS KILLS RETARDS DEAD", that's why.

Oh, I'm sure if you look hard enough. Hardly anyone ever talks about AIDS anymore, but back in the day, lets not forget all those holier-than-thou's protesting everything at the drop of a hat, carrying around truly offensive signs, offensive to anyone with any thread of common decency. I wouldn't be surprised if, say, the whole "AIDS is God's punishment" thing was still being used by Westboro.

Although it has to be said that America's treatment of them prior to WWII was deeply awful; when you only stop forcibly sterilizing people because it's a little embarrassing that the Nazi's are implementing the same damn programs you are, it's time to reevaluate yourself.

ABSOLTELY but that's totally besides the point. I simply stated that he should have been made aware that he made a gay slur. I NEVER said or intimated that he should be punished, shut up, derepped, or censored. I would sooner cut out my own tongue than to see someone deprived to their right to free speech regardless of what that speech might entail. Yes, you meant it in a derogatory way and no, you're not really entitled to.

You wanted to play the "i'm offended" game, yet you find some offensive things to be acceptable enough to not mention even though they lasted longer without comment. I know this because your first (and proper) response to me should have been "damn, i missed those, that's pretty low too." instead you actively defended your apathy on those two subjects.

I find that attitude to be just as offensive as the comment that lead you to post what you did.
