For people who can't get anything else to run, the Japanese website stream is pretty stable.

cogadh: * discounts/special sales on games
* full-game time limited demos
* early access to content
These are worthless buzzwords. And the # of free games doesn't really compare facing forward. The actually valuable features are the fact that a sub isn't necessary for extra services (that's a huge one) and automatic updates (although Xbone will probably have them, too).

cogadh: ...
Really now, why didn't you list many more things that both services have, but only in the PS+ section? :)

Let's see:

-Discounts for games happen regularly on Xbox Live with additional benefits for Gold subscribers.
-Xbox Live Silver also supports cloud storage for games. Suck that, PS+. :p
-Xbox Live Silver on One will also have automatic updates. Suck that again. :p
-That early access to content doesn't mean anything, a developer can freely make content accessible to Gold subscribers right now on Xbox Live, and don't allow that content to Silver ones for as long as they want.
-$60 per year for your household, the subscription can be shared with family. :p

No point in listing features on one side just because that company mentioned them during their presentation, when the other company already offers or will offer the same features.

Except the requirement of Gold to be able to access other services like Netflix and stuff, PS+ has nothing that Gold doesn't have.

Thus, they are the same, with that exception... now, I could also mention integration with Windows Phone and Windows 8 devices, being able to play the game on all these devices and share the saved games, use these devices and whatever to compliment the One by only having a Silver subscription... But whatever, they are the same. :)

Uh, no, not worthless at all and certainly not just "buzzwords". Discounts like 20% off of "ultimate edition" bundles, hour long full game demos for newly released titles, early access to betas and DLC... those are all worth a lot.

But they are worthless buzzwords... a developer can detect the level of players' account (Silver or Gold) and give them special discounts or whatever other crap.
Retro's super secret, long-term development is another Donkey Kong game?

Groan!

All I care about is that Megaman is in the new Smash Bros.

They can, but will they? The fact is, every single week, PS+ members get all these things, guaranteed, without relying on the publishers to make the decision to be cool to their customers. These are not worthless buzzwords, they are facts of the service and have been nearly since it inception.
new smash bros with megaman as guest.

Yeah, I know. I like X more but I see how it makes more sense to have classic Megaman instead.

A ton of trailers went up on Nintendo's youtube site of games that weren't shown during the direct.
Pikmin 3 is a cool as ever

There's a store near my workplace selling tableware at 30% off. Yes, really, everything in that store is 30% off. Including the gift card for 5000 roubles. Old price: 6990 roubles, new price: 5000 roubles. Discounts on a closed platform are marketing buzzwords when you're comparing one closed platform against another, facing forward.

Early access to DLC is bullshit flavored bullshit, much like on-disc DLC. DLC is out "when it's ready"; plusses won't be getting it early - nonplusses will be getting it late.

And other stuff is going in for the publishers' benefit. Four years since I bought HoMM5 at the ubi store they have been spamming my inbox with free beta offers.
