Is E3 just for consoles, or is it PC gaming as well? I suppose with the two new consoles it will be mostly about the consoles something I have no interest in.

I watch it to get a general sense of where the industry is going. Also most games are on PC as well.

Its for everything, but the big players reserve the few big events, so you mostly see console games during this. Publisher-related and developer-related events show their games for all platforms usually.

That DS2 trailer was rendered beyond rendering, the game looks nothing like when played, we know because everyone has already seen the actual gameplay footage from the devs a month or so ago...
