Sony please blow me away, just recently my liking of your brand has been rekindled after buying great PSOne Classics like Vagrant Story and Parasite Eve.

Please show me great games!!!
So it's going to be an hour before Sony's press conference? There's no timer in the upper right corner...so more demos and other stuff.

"He emphasized that the single-player story can be played all by yourself… as long as you have an internet connection."

Online DRM is back...
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare, I don't know, I wasn't too happy that it's not coming with an strategy/isometric view of the battlefield.

Watch Dogs, too much action and too little hacking but it was only a trailer so I think it's ok.

Mirror's Edge 2 looks good, more or less like the first which I had hoped for.

Dragon Age 3 I'm not so sure about it but it's a while until release so I think it's good.

Witcher 3 looks great, the title I'm looking forward the most but it's also one I'm dreading expectations will kill it so I'm trying to avoid any hype about it.

Project Spark looked interesting, I'll probably end up getting that at a later point.

Tom Clancy's The Divisions looks kind of fun, not too good but fun. Altough I suspect I'll enjoy everything except for the boring cover-shooting, I prefer stealth or dancing.

As for the PS4 and Xbox One I didn't plan to get either one and I won't, I will simply buy a whole new computer around the time I plan to buy The Witcher 3.

And this is on console no less, so there is no point using the Piracy excuse, and they just said that used games are good for the industry:

The outing's been all right so far. Glad that the amount of PR talk has been minimized, though obviously EA has their heads so far up that they can almost taste the sunshine on the other side. It's been about games though, despite the passing remarks about integration to pointless online networks and the like. Microsoft brought out both things that interested me and hyped crap that I will likely never play. I try to distance myself from the overall console, and so I find it hard to really write off the games entirely.

If Sony is smart enough, they will show the console, name the price, talk about features, and slam with back to back new IP. I expect a failure in at least one regard, but Microsoft was smart to reveal what we NEEDED to know about the Xbox One before E3. PS4 still had a degree of mystery to it, despite being revealed earlier.

innerring: Online DRM is back...
It never left. Be prepared for every game to be always online in a few years. It's been a slow progression towards acceptance since Everquest or whatever.

I refused to buy Diablo 3 and some other games I wanted because of it. If they announce Fallout 4 with always online though? Man that would be hard to reject. It's a line in the sand for everyone, but I bet great games sell regardless. Just the future.

At least we're PC gamers and can hopefully get offline copies from people who care about preserving games.

To bad most late 90s and early 2000s PC games are not compatible with other OSes like Linux :(

Sony press conference out now.

Just always tell yourself that always-on games suck on principle, than it's not very hard not to buy them. :p
I just bought into the Mighty Quest for Epic Loot beta... I guess I'm not helping this online DRM debate am I? :p
Look at the bright side with the way gaming is heading.

We have our backlogs to fall back on.

That's how I see it overall, yet there are specific franchises I might sacrifice my principles for... Fallout, Deus Ex, Thief, Elder Scrolls...

Can I resist?

Agreed, I still have a backlog of GOG RPGs I have yet to beat (Planescape: Tormant) and Purchase (The Witcher 1)
