I suppose they want people hype for their sequels which are going to be released on Xbox One. Games like Amalur or The Lost Odyssey would hardly have the effect.

Very True. I won't speculate much because I'm not familiar with goldie accountment on xbLive, but given the state of the "Xbone hype", I would expect "desperate" measures (maybe I'm exagerating) from them in order to not fall off the race before it even started.
