As our catalog gets bigger and better every week, it's easy to lose track of some of the awesome games that we have to offer. We've been running one day "Gaming Gem" promos for a while now to highlight some classic titles that don't get the love of some of our best-known blockbusters like Baldur's Gate or Duke Nukem 3D. To celebrate summer, for the next two weeks until July 25th, we're going to run a Gaming Gem promo every day, so you can rediscover these lesser-known classics! Grab that plastic toy shovel and dig out gem after gem over the next 18 days. We think every game we're going to be offering on our Summer GOG.com Gem Extravaganza will be an excellent title, and we hope you give them all a try.

What&rsquo;s cool about games, among other things, is that they let you do things you&rsquo;d probably never do in your life. Do you remember when as a kid you told everyone you&rsquo;d grow up to be a firefighter, an astronaut or a race car driver? Did anyone of you want to pilot some of the greatest attack helicopters? With today&rsquo;s one-day promo you can do it for cheap! &lt;A href="[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/apache_vs_havoc"&gt;Enemy]http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/apache_vs_havoc"&gt;Enemy Engage: Apache vs Havoc</a> lets you control two combat helicopters: AH-64D Apache Longbow and its Russian counterpart, the formidable Mi-28M Havoc B. The game is one of the best helicopter simulators ever created and puts you in one of three vast combat zones. The best thing is every campaign is fully dynamic and will never play the same twice. Add to that fully 3D terrain, day and night missions in different weather conditions, highly detailed 3D helicopter models, and multiple difficulty configurations and everyone can enjoy this state of the art simulation. Last but not least, join your friends over the Internet and play in one team or against each other just like you did in the old days when you dreamed of growing up to have a really cool job.

Grab Enemy Engage: Apache vs. Havoc within the next 24 hours and save 60%. The game will cost you only $2.39, until tomorrow, July 22 at 5:59 a.m. EDT (9:59 a.m. GMT). If you already own this title or it’s just not your type of game, be sure to check back tomorrow for another Summer Gem Promo!
May as well join in and say what I'm hoping for too.

Heroes of Might and Magic I, IV, and Chronicles, Two Worlds, Seven Kingdoms, Panzer General II, Original War, Perimeter, Strategic Command, Battle Isle Platinum, XIII, Gorky 17, and Realms of the Haunting are all choices that'd make me pleased as punch. Not that I'm not already, mind you. The sales have treated me very well, particularly the Christmas and Interplay sales.

It's hardly a hidden gem, but I wouldn't mind Unreal Tournament or UT2K4. I have the series on DVD, but hell, I like it enough to buy it again, and I can do without having to use a DVD drive and keys. Not to mention I'd like some extras, and maybe a few sales will get Epic off their duff and releasing more games here.

Despite multiple chances to buy them on sale, I've passed on Far Cry, Evil Genius, and the Tom Clancy games. I regret that, and I think I'm ready to drop the $4 on any one of them. Also, I'm gonna guess that Rayman 3 and Rollercoaster Tycoon are too recent, huh? :P

whodares2: For anyones sitting on the fence about this one: BUY IT! It costs less then bus fare and besides, it is good game.
Listen to the man. Well, as long as you have, or are interested in getting a flight stick, and have any interest at all in flying helicopters. Comanche vs Hokum can't be beat, but this game is very close and still has content of it's own.

The price is less than half the price of bus fare where I live, and you're paying for quality, instead of buses with confusing routes and schedules that only come once an hour, drop you off at the next bus you need to catch across the street, only to watch said bus drive off before you can even disembark, and have to wait another full hour in +100F weather. >_>

Amez: Wouldn't it be cool if GoG was doing a Birthday sale for at least 3-months old members?
I mean, like in your B-Day you can have 1 game for free or a 9.99 one for 5.99..
Just sayin', today's mine :D
Anything in particular on your wishlist? Or did you just want congratulations? =P

A question for you both. I am not "a big fan" of simulators, what I like is strategy. But in the past I played some space sims (like Privateer) and even a few "casual" sims (like Comanche: Maximum Overkill) - should I try Apache vs Havoc? Won't it be too "technical" for me?

Yes, I do love Northren states with a reason.
I'm amazed by the sheer friendliness of some people... you made my day!

Roll for initiative.

While sounding cool the system would be too prone to abuse. After all, you can freely change your account details, inc. date of birth.
While it doesn't look bad, I've never been into the more realistic military flight simulators. I'll pass.

Wallet : 7 - GOG : 7

Ouch. But it doesn't make any sense O_o
There SHOULD be a way, though. Like an internal timer that allows you to do that once every 365 days?
looks like fun and for this price, I just had to get it

here's hoping for more good one day promo's soon!
I'm not feeling the love for this unfortunately; I haven't played a decent flight sim since F29 Retaliator which is going back some years but not sure if a helicopter sim is for me.

Do you need a joystick to play this? If so, its a definite no.
I'm on the fence about this one. I've never played a helicopter sim before, but I did get a joystick a few weeks ago, which might be reason enough to pick this up...
Game is gold !

Once you fire your first hellfire rocket from behind montain only using radar and nav you will love it !

Game is TOTAL SIMULATION so don't think that once you've played IL 2 your the booss.

Good joystick is must for this game.

Keybord binding will give you serious mind&&&& as almost all keys are used and alost all keys are used with alt, shift, ctrl.

So, taking into consideration my last, so far unanswered question - this game is a no-no for me?
