Tantrix: Definetely. Not as great as DMC3 (Really a gem, get it), however, the combat is decent, so is the challange.
If you use keypad for gameplay, I suggest you to config them for better suiting.

It makes the same mistake Metal Gear Solid 2 did, basically you don't get to play as Dante. Other than that it's a good game and very pretty too.

I never found that to be much of a big deal myself. Yes, Snake is cooler by far, but Raiden still could do the things that Snake did in the first game. Gamers can be more than a little fussy at times.

It's more about feeling let down. All the promotional stuff about MGS2 concentrated on Snake and even the demo was set on the Tanker so everyone thought they would be playing as Snake through the game. When it switched to Raiden a lot of fans felt cheated. It was unfair in a way but thats just how fans are. If you advertise a Star Trek game set in the TNG universe then you better have Picard, Riker, Sisko etc in there or the fans will feel cheated.
Similarly all the promotional stuff for DMC4 showed Dante and the fans want to play as Dante so when the game starts with Nero the fans are like WTF? This isn't what I wanted...
Dante does turn up and you do get to play as him but Nero suffers from Raiden syndrome here.

Delixe: They obviously thought the Dante formular would worn out sooner or later, and decided to pick a new gaming character up to continue the franchise.
And that is one retarded idea.
I like the Dante combat, and Nero is also an interesting character....to play. He is such a whiny brat, and his combat is too simplified. Dante is really about chance and coordination, Nero is just BASHING BASHING BASHING QUICKTIMEVENT FURTHER BASHING.
Ah well, still a good game, and such SHINY GRAPHIXX. And DRM free surprisingly. Definetely one of the better Capcom ports. Get a controller for this however, it will easen your gameplay experience.

Definitely. Even if you don't get it for the gameplay, the cutscenes alone are easily worth $7.50. They're not only very well directed, but filled with Crowning Moments of Awesome.

ilves: HL2 again on sale? I still have an extra copy of that on Steam from the Orange Box... if anyone wants it for free let me know, but i know most people have multiples of that game

20 bucks? Hell yes its worth that! I got it on ebay for something like 35 which is still cheaper than the steam price for australians but having played through the game I'd say it'd be worth near RRP (as in I'd have paid that much and not felt ripped off when I finished it)
