Dang it. Of all the days NOT to have money in my account, it had to be the day Thief goes on a ridiculous sale.

Aliasalpha: Regional restrictions strike again, no GTA San Andreas for me. Well other than the copy I have on the disc on my shelf, we can buy 4 but not SA? Does the steam version come with the hot coffee mod installed by default?

Rohan15: I offered my services in the post before this. If I buy it for you will you get the game?

Well yes but I'd have a second copy then, the one I have on disc is fine. Thanks anyway

Ah, just saw that. Oh well.
Like I said, anyone want help with shitty region restrictions?

acare84: They removed Securom from Steam for BioShock.
avatar
PincushionMan: I dunno - the game page says it requires an Internet connection for activation. Although it doesn't say what kind of activation, but it smells like securom. I'll let someone else find out, though.

I saw a 2009 user post on another forum stating that they reinstalled Bioshock steam version and no securom was installed.
Just got X3: Gold and Titan Quest. Now I just have to wait for about 3 hours to play it, lol.
Lol @ Dragon Age. I got my copy of Origins and Awakening few days ago (boxed), and it's still cheaper than the Steam version.

Where did you buy it from?

Possibly GoGamer?

Any outlet here. There's a SGD25 discount off if you buy two EA games. The bundle cost of Origins and Awakening is around SGD90 in total. Take away the discount, and it's SGD65, which is approximately USD46.
The SecuROM online activation bit has been removed from BioShock a while after its release. The notice about activation is probably just still there from day one and no one bothered to remove it.
For that price it is really a must for those who don't have it yet. I found the game itself only average, but it's worth it just for the design and atmosphere alone. And of course P.B. Winterbottom for all Adventure fans.
I'm probably also going to pick up Tropico 3 as that has been on my "maybe if daily deal?" list. The discounts for Dragon Age are a bit disappointing though in my view, especially considering the high original price. I already thought it was expensive during EA week, and it's the same price now.

Do they even ship outside the US?

You can buy at zavvi.com pretty cheap. They are in the UK and the shipping cost only 1GBP.
Damn. No Borderlands or Mount and Blade Warband yet.
Not going to buy anything today, got everything that I want to own.
Tropico 3 is really good by the way. Haven't seen anyone here recommending it. Well, I am. So there.

I was also recommending it in the general purpose deals thread. But yes, it's an awesome game more people should be playing.
