yes you are right. thanks for keeping me up to date
I paid $10 for Shatter not to long ago, but I'm not really mad that I didn't get it on sale because the developer deserves the money and because I can now tell you guys about what an awesome game it is! This is the best Breakout game I have ever played.
It's only $2.50 today. Buy it. Thank me later.
Get Left 4 Dead, before I punch you in the face. Awesome game. :)
Got Shatter and FlatOut: UC. Didn't get Red Faction: Guerilla because I have a feeling that by the time I get around to playing it, it will already be available as part of a trilogy bundle for a similar price...

Then download the "Left4Teletubbies" mod. Killing PITA annoyances has never been so much fun :D

I have to say I've been intrigued by The Void ever since I accidentally stumbled over it while looking for Dark Void information (back when everyone thought Dark Void could be at least passable). I'm tempted to pick it up, but I don't know yet...
I picked up AvP Classic 2000 on the first day of the sale, I believe. Great purchase, worth every penny.
The weekend before the sale I let loose on the discounted Deus Ex bundle. I have fond memories of the game's demo from my childhood. I'm currently in the process of realising how big of a mistake it was to miss this game way back when it was first released.
The only one I'm tempted is The Void, but I'll wait for it to come to GOG together with their first game, Pathologic.

fabricioz: I believe you meant Civilization IV. I don't remember TD working with any previous version of Civilization. I did work in the release of Civ IV. Later, they published the expansions.
Yes, they're all about profit. But this exposes the large communication problem between the corporate and their distributors far away. 3rd party distributors in Latin America has little to no attention at all, because their venues are very low.
In fact, I hope these kind of distributors can come to an end and we could all enjoy of systems like Steam and GOG. Because here, I can pay the real price, not more nor less. And it goes directly to the developer and main publisher. Also, these distributors offer really lousy services.

I meant Tech Dealer has distributed Civ3 complete, Civ4 base game, and one or two of the expansions for Civ4. Look up at their site.
"Also, these distributors offer really lousy services"? Are you referring to NC Games? hehehe... They only imported the games and put a label/price tag on it, and they called themselves a distributor.
From what I've heard, Synergex is actually localizing the editions, with manuals and the box written in Portuguese (at least we got this, but I'd love to have PT-BR subtitles in every game here). I don't care about voice over in portuguese, as I do prefer the original sound/voices.

soulgrindr: Manhunt Trailer!! Yeah! Go rockstar Japan!
ps/ Anyone else get kinda relieved when there isn't anything they want on the Daily Deals? Means I'm closer to the end without spending loads on games I won't have time to play. ;-)

Here I got only 3:
GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City game, GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City trailer, Manhunt trailer.
Why isn't Manhunt 2 on steam already? I'd buy a bundle of the 1st+2nd.

Gundato: As for JK: I was referring to trainers for TFU2. JK just needed console commands, but I doubt TFU2's engine will be all that console-command friendly. So a trainer would be the easiest way.
As for not trolling: Good for you.
But pretend someone kept coming to these forums and telling us about the benefits of having in-game chat and cloud saving (those are the two that are still useful for purely SP games). Some of us won't care about those features (just like some people don't care about DRM), and many others will get annoyed that someone is trying to ram their preferred DD-platform down our throats.
Can you see how many GoGers would troll the hell out of their forums? Just look at the idiots who feel the need to remind everyone that we are "renting" when we buy from anything other than GoG.

Hmm I didn't knew TFU had trainers for stuff like this, thanks for the info.
Yeah I do understand that there are some fundamentalists, but that happens in every community/human group even in real life. I just tend to ignore them, until they stop talking about drm/whatever subject.
haha So, GOG is reading the topic, and reacted with a David Vs. Goliath thingie... these guys are plain awesome. Lots of humor while doing serious business, that's why I admire GOG's model. :)

bansama: Apparently, I no longer need to worry about region restrictions for Square Enix games. The CEO made the decision to have the regional restrictions removed and people in Japan are now allowed to purchase the "Overseas versions" of Square Enix titles over Steam. The only exception is Modern Warfare 2 (which is published here by Square).
And all this due to Twitter =) Now if only gamers in Japan can rally together and get the other publishers to follow suit.

Good to know that they removed the restrictions. ;)
Let's see if the press talks about it...
There's some cross-pollination going on. The Steam thread here and a David vs. Goliath thread on Steam general forums.
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1332176
Anyway, it's great to hear that Square Enix is removing its regional restrictions. Hopefully other publishers will do the same so that everyone will be able to access games across all DD platforms.

taczillabr: Ban in Switzerland?! Did they banned GTA IV and the Episodes in Germany, at least?

No ban - I was referring to the guy from Brazil who said he could buy Episodes From Liberty City, but not GTA IV. I just thought it was weird - but apparently it's a corporate issue from the distributor side, nothing official. It's just got the regular 18+ in Germany, and Switzerland usually goes with PEGI ratings. I'm not sure but I don't think they ban games anymore around here, except if it has illegal content.
I just hope I'm going to have a lot of spare time, because I went seriously overboard already, and there's still a dozen titles on the wishlist. (Edit: Tried to post a link to my games list on Steam, but it seems to contain a LOT of titles not even in my account... what the?)
