Yeah OFP2 isn't a bad game. Its not a GOOD game and its not what I'd call a good sequel to OFP but it shits all over stuff like CoD as far as realism goes.
Shame they went so anti-mod, the community might have made the game what ofp2 should have been or at least made the AI notice when you shot them in the back with an M4
oh man abe pack is just 2.50€!
i dont have much money left i dont know should i get it or should i wait for more special sale thingys :S

I liked it, outside of a few game-breaking bugs.
Like I said, think of it as a sequel to Delta Force, and it is a lot more enjoyable. ArmA is our OFP sequel.

Well I enjoyed it as a game and definietly recommend it to shooter fans looking for something hard since its only $5 but I just couldn't enjoy it as OFP2. Sadly I can't enjoy arma 1 or 2 as ofp2 either because its such an unreasonably awful piece of shit, way buggier than ofp v1.0 and whoever designed the missions needed a good kick in the bollocks. I was going to rant more and list all the things I hate but I won't derail the thread any more.

you can choose between a cheap bundle with DRM , or a currently not cheap release from GOG without DRM

Try ArmA2 actually. ArmA1 felt a bit sterile, but 2 goes back to the character driven narrative. Much more fun.

Why are you in this thread? All you do is spout your cultist BS.

I was going to respond, but then I saw who posted the comment. No response necessary.

Then why did you make one?
Seriously, does nobody understand the concept of "If you don't reply to a troll, they will stop trolling"?
And yes, I am aware of the irony of this post. :p

Did someone mention irony?
BTW still can't buy games on steam. They don't like my money I guess.

Trolls occasionally give me amusement through their sad attempts at obtaining attention and ire. I don't want that to end.

ovoon: Ugh TFU was the worst Star Wars game ever made. Horrible. I loved the Jedi Knight series, the Battlefront series, xwing, tie fighter, rogue squadron, and both KOTOR's, but TFU was a pile of ef.

Will they ever make a game up to the legacy of the first Jedi Knight game? Outcast and Academy were good, but not thaaat much good in single-player.
Make a game with giant maps and not much consolized like SW:TFU was, with decent art and in a decent engine, and lots of moves with the lightsabers. I'd buy it, and today they have the tech do to it properly. And I don't care about the MMO they're doing.
I do agree with what Gundato said, the TFU game was for another audience though, not for the old gamers.

when we will se a GOG thread on Steam ?

The fact is that I don't use the steam forums. But if I used it, I would create a gog thread for sure and keep warning people that older games on steam are being sold cheaper over at gog (But eventually a moderator would come in and delete the topic/post, probably).
Anyway, steam is for newer games, while gog is for older ones. I always do prefer buying older games from gog and drm-free, even if they are on steam (e.g. interplay titles, oddworld, star wolves, etc).

jungletoad: Has anyone else noticed game prices changing for games that are not part of the daily deal? Swear the Witcher was around $7 the other day and now it is $13.50. I think STALKER: Call of Pripyat changed too.
This makes me wonder if these games will be getting deal of the day specials or if I should have picked them up earlier.

Now, the Brothers in Arms Pack was reduced to $26.77 (was $33.47), and The Witcher price went to $13.39 (was $6.79). I've posted some prices before, here.
The June 27 deals didn't included the Gothic Bundle for $4.99 and the Max Payne Bundle for $3.74 here, at my region.

Sargon: On the other hand, I don't know what kind of DRM that comes with the newest disc versions of CIV IV.

There's a "Sid Meier's Civilization IV: The Complete Edition" at retail, the discs are drm-free and it includes Colonization: [url=http://www.2kgames.com/civ4/complete/

akwater: I know some women in Thailand, and in the Philippines who might disagree with you :P
This chap who was showing me around an Island makes 4000 Baht per Month which is like
125 USD...........(plus tips)

LMAO, about the women disagreeing.
I watched a tv show yesterday about Thai exactly, not a documentary though. IIRC, most of the people there in the factories/food industry make $6 per day, 6 days of work per week, total $124 per month. In the rice fields, they make only half of that, like $3 to $4 a day.
And the women in those streets, oh they make at least like 4 x $6 per day... so comes with no surprise why there's a lot of women working at this "sector" of the economy there, sadly. =/

None, no DRM or CD check, at least with the euro version don't know about the others.
