Aliasalpha: As long as it stops downloading data at some point! I just noticed that its getting another gig of stuff. I think its downloading porn for its troops. Good for morale but not so good for my bandwidth

bansama: Word of warning, the COH games on Steam will require a complete redownload of all data in the event that it's patched. So you will most likely want to set it so that it doesn't update.

Ahh perhaps thats why its downloading this second block of data then. Shall definitely tell that one to not update then, cheers mate

Aliasalpha: Fun but more of the same, there's not really any new story of significance (though it might come in near the end, I lost my save so I have to restart), just some extra challenging areas with new loot. If the choice is between that & overlord 2, go for 2

Its because I have the original and wanted to complete the game (although I've never even played it pass the tutorial). But will see if I can get both (if not, only the expansion, kind of short on money right now, and Stacraft 2 is coming in a month, and also WoW's expansions).

I think the data being downloaded is to make each game compatible with the other two (in case you bought the complete pack).

acare84: Wrong you can play offline on Steam version too. It is asking which version you have if dont connected to internet and if you choose Steam you can play it.

Thanks for the correction. I was going by what people on the Steam forums said. There it has been stated that if you use the Steam version and don't allow to connect it to Relic Online, it will ask for a game DVD you don't have. Maybe this was a problem of earlier versions then.

What is going on with those daily "sales"? They suddenly forgot to do something?

Huh. Today's deals suck. Well, Civilization isn't bad if you don't have them already, but I'd rather get the boxed versions. Flotilla...I thought it was dull as hell, despite being quite excited about it initially. Half-Life at $6.99 is nothing compared to the 99 cents I paid for it some years ago lol. Never tried Kane and Lynch, but the Gerstmann fiasco and all round bad comments from players is very telling. Not a huge fan of Dawn of War.
Can't wait to see what they bring to the table tomorrow.

Wait a bit for the proper prices to be reflected on the main page. Happens every day of the sale I find. Half-Life 1 is actually $1.99 today. But apart from that, pretty weak.

Kane & Lynch is not bad actually, I picked it up at retail for €10 and was quite impressed. It's a shame EA had to tarnish it's name with that underhanded crap.

Go and buy Flotilla and maybe Gothic Series too. Gothic 3 can be patched to latest community patch on Steam.

Prices got updated now. It's kinda weird that Flotilla had right price from the start but rest of the bunch didn't. Confusing :/

Nothing interesting to me. The DoW2 deal is especially bad given that the THQ complete pack is £6.50 more.

Wasn't Max Payne sold few weeks ago for 2,49 € or something?

Max Payne is sold for 2,49€ in today's discount. Probably the prices of today's sales didn't show as discounted due to some glitch or something.
