Aliasalpha: Ouch! At least you should be able to delete the files afterwards... assuming they're not all over the place and poorly labelled.

Navagon: Nah no need, I changed to french to start the download and then changed right back to english, by the look of things it deletes the language file the second you let go of the mouse button so one way or the other I'm up for 3gb of downloading which will be done in 5 minutes and probably won't work anyway

DavidGil: Grabbed Space Rangers 2 Reboot, Clive Barker's Jericho and Rise of the Argonauts myself. I played Rise of the Argonauts on the Metaboli subscription service ages ago and it crashed a fair bit, so I hope the Steam version doesn't. Still, for #1.69 or whatever it was, I can't grumble.

And what about Star Wolves? Those are really cheap too.

No idea on Star Wolves, but I love Space Rangers 2. It is a text adventure, a turn-based space combaty game, an arcadey real-time space combaty game, and a REALLY bad RTS, all rolled into one :p

Space Rangers 2 is really a difficult game. You can go crazy while playing it. :)

I agree. Nowadays I play at least a few skirmish matches, if I am not replaying some campaigns again.

As long as it stops downloading data at some point! I just noticed that its getting another gig of stuff. I think its downloading porn for its troops. Good for morale but not so good for my bandwidth

Word of warning, the COH games on Steam will require a complete redownload of all data in the event that it's patched. So you will most likely want to set it so that it doesn't update.

I know it's old news, and it's still a hell of a deal, but it's bloody annoying nonetheless.
But yeah, it's a good deal. I only lack DEFCON out of the pack, but I'm still saving 50%.
As for Company of Heroes: be careful with that. The "Company of Heroes Anthology" in retail (in Europe, don't know about US) is usually a lot cheaper than even Steam's "extra-limited 24hr super-special Summer discount". Also, the copy protection is "either connected to Relic Online, or DVD in drive". With the Steam version, you HAVE to be online and logged in to Relic Online to play, even for single-player, while the retail version lets you play single-player offline as long as you have the disc in the drive.

Wrong you can play offline on Steam version too. It is asking which version you have if dont connected to internet and if you choose Steam you can play it.

Or disassociate it with Steam via retail patch. That was a much better option for me as you won't lose MP that way.

Fun but more of the same, there's not really any new story of significance (though it might come in near the end, I lost my save so I have to restart), just some extra challenging areas with new loot. If the choice is between that & overlord 2, go for 2
