Big sale, looks just as good as the holiday sale.
Tip: Only buy the 24h specials for now, and wait to buy the packs only at the last day, since they may go on the 24h deals during the promotion and consequently you'll get pissed. :p
Damn those THQ pack and the Eidos pack prices are good... but only if the Eidos was $50 then it would be instabuy; and I don't need to comment on the THQ one, since now it got Metro and the DoW2 expansion.
There's 584 items on sale, according to didimatic.com:

Drat, why do I have to be away this weekend without access to the internet? :(
Fingers crossed I won't miss anything too special.
It's looking like a damn good sale from here. But yes you're right there's no sense in buying anything until the last day. It's not like they're going to sell out after all... well...
my main problem is going to be avoiding getting things when i've got too many games to do as it is
There's also the Call of Duty pack, up to CoD5 for $30.
Bobby got a flu or something? Or is this pack just in preparation for his plans for the franchise? :p

Drat, why do they have to make a big sale exactly when I was saving money for other things? :(

Galcon Fusion is damn little awesome game. I tried the demo now and I like it. :)
Wow, that THQ one is friggin' insane. Quite tempting.
Popped Chrome and the CoD pack on my watch-lists (in the event that these get better sales before the end).
Only CoD in the pack that I don't have is World at War, but getting Steam copies of every other CoD sort of justifies buying WaW at that price. Now, I would insta-buy if that were MW2, but whatever.
For a very short time (2-4 hours?) they had the 1C Complete pack for $19.99. I should have jumped on it as soon as I saw it, now its too late and they fixed the price...
Is Damnation worth $5? What about Rise of the Argonauts?
Is Brian Lara's International Cricket worth $1.69 for someone who doesn't play or really know how to play cricket? (My only cricket experience is from watching Lagaan)

Brain Lara is a good game. Very casual friendly. Supports local multiplayer as well.
I've never bought a game from the Steam service. Are there any DRM related downsides?
Normally I would be going crazy over this sale, but there isn't any games on steam that I really want right now..Im finding a lot more better ones on GOG.

You have to activate online to play. There's an offline mode once you activate it, but some people have trouble using it. If you like to play games at a lower patch level than the current one, you can't, as Steam automatically downloads patches.
If you have a download cap (I don't think you do, I'm not aware of any US ISP that has one) you will have to watch the bandwidth usage as sometimes Steam can do some weird stuff (it's never happened to me, but happens to others on occasion). You also have to have Steam open if you're running a game you've purchased off of it.
I like it, but many don't. YMMV

Thanks for the response. I'll probably get it in a few days.
