Would it not be a better deal to purchase it from amazon.co.uk ? I mean it should still be cheaper even with shipping fees?

AFAIK they don't ship to Russia, and even if they did, shipping in Russia is nightmare. I could wait for 3 months and then they (Russian Post) could say they lost it or something.
Besides, I prefer Steam over retail.

Steam is in an ever decreasing circle because it has no customer service, is just a money grabbing delivery system and does not think of the gamer.
For example: By forcing you to install all Steam games to a Steam folder on a single drive, and then having to at some point transfer everything in that folder to another bigger drive when you start running out of space on the original drive is just going to slowly move customers away from the service. How many gamers love Steam so much they are going to spend money on another huge drive to copy their Steam folder to to continue buying games and having them all sit in that one folder on that one drive?
My Steam folder is now 190GB on a 350GB drive, with companies like Impulse and CeX (here in the UK) I have already started buying games elsewhere to avoid this folder getting even bigger. I have a second drive which is 160GB drive.
It doesn't take a genius to see how slowly people are going to find they don't have enough space on their Steam drive to buy their latest Steam purchase, and find their other drive (if they have one!) is not big enough to copy the original Steam folder and the new game to it. While some will actually go out and buy a bigger drive, most will look elsewhere, even if it means spending a little more.
With the arrogance of Steam in it's customer relations, I doubt it will do anything about this until it's too late, or that it is far enough into the future it won't matter because by then Valve will be a console only developer/publisher.

No customer service? Then who responded when I contacted them?
Sooo.... You never delete games to clear some space for new games, or ones you feel like playing again? Ever? You just keep downloading and downloading until you run out of space for it?

@UK_John, you do realise that you can, in fact, uninstall games from Steam when you're not playing them, right? You can also use one of several junction tricks to split Steam over several folder. Besides that, however slowly* it takes them, Valve have stated that they are looking into the best way to allow selection of installation directories.
* Probably a couple of years.
I'm no fan of Steam, but to complain about something as trivial as not uninstalling a game that isn't currently being played, and using that as a reason to complain about a service, is stretching things far too much.

I wouldn't rely on them. Yesterday I saw them list the UK price of Crayon Physics Deluxe at £45.

In their shpping FAQ they also mention "Rest of the World" :P which has all countries of Asia in it, so it should also work for Russia. But I understand your stance on the post service.
33,49€ is too expensive for me and I don't have my PayPal account anymore so... sorry.

It's really worth £45 though :)

It's surprisingly frequent occurrence. For one, when it was last on sale, Fuel was a hell of a lot cheaper in the UK than in the US.

I want to buy Wings of Prey but I looked the forums and they are saying it is using 3rd party DRM. And has limited activations, what a moronish move. We don't have a lot of flight sims on PC and they are infecting it with DRM. I hope they remove the activation on Steam.

Well, thanks for clearing that up.
Slightly offtopic but now that I have your attention:
will didimatic offer the whole GOG catalogue in future (newer releases aren't there yet)? is it possible to specify on "my games" how we got them? Other than that it's really handy to keep track of current sales :)

One of these days. But I stopped all work on that part of the site to concentrate on the sales as that's what most people were using. I do plan to eventually completely recode that part of the site, but there's a few problems with how some of the other sites (namely Steam) keep changing the names of items, which is stopping me from adding the integration I want with the wish lists and the sales. And simply put, I haven't had the time to look at any of the features I want to code =(.
