Might be dicey, AlexY, although the game is better optimized since I played the original release. Tough call. What resolution do you play at?

1024x768, although it's no problem to go lower if it can. I'm not a graphics enthusiast, I just want to play the game. :)
I was genuinely surprised with ME though - it looks fantastic and runs better than Oblivion!

AlexY, if bandwidth and disc space isn't an issue, I'd say there's no harm in giving it a go then. You might find you can run it fine and it's a great game so would be well worth it.

Aliasalpha: What happens with packs if you already own stuff in them? The THQ one has some stuff I want but since I already own about 60% of it, I'm sure not paying for them again

I'm not sure if Valve has fixed this yet, but try gifting the game to yourself via email, that might get you the extra copies.

I really wouldn't recommend that. Valve are notorious for clamping down hard on anyone they feel is abusing the system. They might invalidate all four copies while keeping the money and suspend the fiddlers account.

i can thoroughly recommend lead and gold at the $5 price point
picked it up on a whim and played it 3 hours straight in my first sitting. even made some friends. awesome game.
