You obviously don't know how steam threads work here.

The only reason i jumped on this thread was because it didn't feel right seeing an actual useffull piece of information being dismissed as just another chance to bash Steam for no other reason than the bashing. Even more, because this situation affects me directly on a on&off basis since 06.
And i do like the relaxed, playfull 'mood' of the boards, but are you guys honestly telling me that once in a while we can't really discuss these issues without letting our own 'loves' and 'hates' get in the way ? And without getting angry at each other ?
anoffday and myself, we managed to get our points across without insults.
anoffday is sick of all the Steam posts around here (as many others are), and i don't think that being tired of all the posts is enough to dismiss every Steam post because some of them (like this one) raise good points. And good points not just about Steam, even when 'Steam' is on the thread's title.
Are you guys honestly telling me that if it were some entity other that Steam pulling this kind of BS we would be able to actually discuss this, but since it was Steam we can't?

If i got it right, because half the people here love Steam and the other half hate Steam, and because there's alot of posts about Steam already.

Shacknews is reporting that Steam finally resolved the issue and the owners of Earth 2160 can finally play the game again at their choosing. So now we should all chill out and sing kumbaya or something.
Btw can someone reply in the random community thread, i selected a new winner awhile ago but it seems no one noticed :(

JUst posting to confirm that. Steam did fix it.
This time when i fired up the game i got a 'You need to install a client update to run this game' message and after restarting Steam the game came alive right away.
That finally takes care of a big chunk of this particular big mess.

The Witcher on Steam also is not working properly (videos are not watchable, you see only black screen and sounds). Can you send this Shacknews too. I am really serious. :)
