I've been back on the Steam forums here and there for the first time in months this week and today I noticed I got a warning 3 months ago for using the term "anal retentive."

Har.
My little brother stated crying when I took out his shitty Reba season 3 DVD and put in Army of Darkness inside. REALLY?
Army of Darkness > Reba ANY day of the week. And when I was fixing to watch it, my mother comes in and we got into a debate over why my movie (Which is far from even being scary) is WAY better than his shitcom (WHO the FUCK cares about a Texan mother?!). I lost because he, of course, is the apple of her eyes and gets whatever he wants. But that's okay, because when he falls asleep, I'm BLASTING the sound on the TV to that film. Enjoy your sleep while you can, dickwad. You're mine!

Hahaha, Reba.

You people are silly.

Yes, I'm a silly Texan. My brother is the only brain dead Texan apparently.

At least he's not a fan of Walker: Texas Ranger. I am also Texan, and my brother's ranted to me on the phone before on how awesome Chuck Norris is and how lame any movie that features more talking than action (my god, what a crime!) is. Thank God I'm a state away, or else I would've punched him several times already.

...You question Chuck Norris?!
Error messages that exacerbate the very fucking problem they're reporting. Just what the ungodly fuck is that shit about?

So the game crashes to desktop. Big deal. Not the end of the world. I've played enough Fallout 3 to be able to live with that crap. I just go straight back into the game.

That's because with Fallout 3 I bloody can. No painfully retarded error messages pop up under the game's now completely black screen for the sole purpose of telling me what I already know. Only it's not telling me that because I can't fucking see that shit, because of the black screen it's holding into place over it.

If all error messages were removed from every piece of software on the market they'd be taking half the errors with them.
Ubisoft are doing my head in. Bought Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood from Get Games, exceeded the TAGES 3 installs and now can't access my game. Sent Get Games an email about it 2 weeks ago, where they said they can't reset the unlocks due to publisher policy but would look into giving me a new serial.

Encountered the same situation with Gamersgate and Stalker Call of Pripyat, and they gave me a new serial. It's farcical though...with Gamesplanet, at least they're able to reset unlocks; it seems not so closely connected companies have to issue new serials (out of their own pocket?)

Whenever stuff like that happens to me (crash to desktop, no apparent error message) I look around for error logs. Many games write a log to their folder. That has helped me figure out things over the years.

I tried to open the error log for Blood 2; but unfortunately Notepad doesn't like opening 7GB text files...

Ugh, and they wonder why people pirate ...

I have a copy of Broken Sword 3 that's rendered unusable because of that crappy Starforce DRM (would have never bought it if I had known...) refusing to work on my Windows 7 64bit. Haven't tried contacting support, but maybe I should?

Here's what I'm also thinking of doing: For Ubisoft published games, just pirating them then giving some money directly to the developers (if not also developed by a division of Ubisoft). Ubisoft is pure evil.

You're lucky it's refusing to work. For me Starforce tore the shit out of Windows 7 to the point where it wouldn't boot. Had to reinstall.
