Me too. I severely dislike the regional restrictions on BUYING, but i realise that unfortunately they may be a fact of life, and there's probably not a lot the stores can do about them.
But if they start restricting the countries where you can ACCESS the games you've bought, that's patently ridiculous. It's an international world/life now. Many people travel overseas regularly, or work overseas, etc.. being only able to USE your games in certain countries is useless.
I'll wait a while to see how it all works out though.

Well, I lost 3 friends today, but I wouldn't even call them friends. Big deal right? Wrong, and do you know why? They left me because I said I wasn't Christian. Hell, I don't even like Christianity, I fucking HATE IT! But, I could care less what religion you are. Now, here is the kicker. They said that I was an idiot for not believing, and I quote, 'That the divine Messiah is watching over us and your soul is doomed.'
My response? "Fuck you and your God."
So, big deal right? But it got me thinking...Religion is the most annoying idea ever! Many of histories greatest conflicts are over religion, and heck, you can't even prove most of your beliefs are true. There is no logical way to prove any heavenly deity exist, and if there was, why the hell are we still being punished for what some dumb bitch did thousands of years ago? Heck, tons of religions are similar.

Then me and my gf's friend got into this big religion debate which ended in me saying 'Fuck you, you brainwashed puritan! Spread your propaganda to someone else, and stay the fuck away from me."

I think religiosity is a form of insanity, which unfortunately tends to be hereditary, so it's unlikely to go away soon. Best we can do is continue to discourage talking about it in public, similar to bodily functions.

You're conflating strong atheism with atheism in general. Strong atheism can be summarized as the belief that no god exists, while atheism in general is simply not believing that a god exists (note the difference, one is a belief, the other is the lack of a belief).
Agnosticism (literally "without knowledge"), on the other hand, is the belief that humans cannot know whether or not a god exists. It is a belief about the nature of human knowledge, not a position on theism. Consequently, theistic and atheistic positions are independent of whether one is agnostic, meaning there are both theistic agnostics and atheistic agnostics.

I think that religion is likely an evolutionary holdover, (Such as the concept whose name I can't remember for when someone sees intention or meaning where none exists) in that there was a survival potential in that sort of thinking. I think ultimately, religion is in direct corelation to a lowered sense of knowledge. IE, as knowledge level rises, religion recedes. People who try to accomodate science into religion are criticized by more fundamental elements for reducing religion to "the god of the gaps". Unfortunately, these peace-makers are likely correct. Believe overall, IMHO, is just a terrible human vice. Belief is a form of imagination, but it's dangerous because it ignores all rationality and logic in favor of ignorance and hope. In addition, people who insist on "belief" refuse any and all outside demands for justification. They insist that the problem is the person who doens't belief. *Nothing* in our society is allowed to place the burden on the dominant position, outside criminal law. Defending the talking snake's existance is not a criminal issue.
There is such an adundance of beauty in our world, which inspired every myth mankind ever created, that there is no reason to hold on to something as archaic as belief in order to find virtue, or enrichment.
I used to think of myself as what others would call an atheist (I never used that term outside my teen years), reading Hitchens, Dawkins, etc. The thing is, debating god's existance is futile. Now, religion can easily be disproven, but noone can argue that god exists, nor that it doesn't. If a given debate has no associated facts, then it is virtually undebatable, and thus is irrelevant. It's like the debate over whether alines exist...the math supports both sides. Debating whether god exists is like debating whether or not the Rolling Stones or Aerosmith are the better band. It's a completely biased and subjective argument, and has no possibility of resolution.

Interesting views, although I'd beg to differ some. I guess it's a matter of perception: I see religion, at its best anyway, as a manifestation of spirituality. I think we're all spiritual, so...

I think that if we would just stop teaching religion before the age of say, 18, nobody would buy it. Religion mainly survives because we get that shit presented to us while our brains are still soft and fluffy, and once something has been learnt on a very early and impressionable level it is quite impossible to unlearn. Thus everybody in the world gets the need to have an opinion about religion, even though the very idea is completely ridiculous.
If people were to, say, discover the Bible for the first time in a used book store at the age of 19, most would call the bluff. Nobody would alter their lives according to it.

Heh, The Endless Discussion About Religion, with one side going "YOU CAN'T PROVE GOD EXISTS!" and the other side "YOU CAN'T PROVE HE DOESN'T!" ... It's just so cute! There is, of course, always the third side which is spoiling all the fun by saying "I can't be arsed."
Anyway, religion can be both good and a bad thing. For example, I'm pretty sure my girlfriend wouldn't be so un-selfish and caring without her religion, since her parents led her to appreciate these values pretty much 'cause they're written in Bible (funny fact: They don't act according to them at all. Actually, I'll get to this again later.). And, I must add, she DOES study history at uni. My point? If you learn to appreciate real values most religions teach you, you will probably be a good person. Good person believing in something that doesn't make sense? Well, I'd be glad to have planet full of believers who are nice to each other...
But, of course, it's not that simple in reality. While my girlfriend may be intelligent enough to act according to her beliefs, lots of "people with faith" actually are not. While I know a few people who are able to actually think about their religion and make their own opinion about it, there are much, much more people who just go with whatever their "religious leaders" tell them to, and THAT is, in my opinion, the 'evil' inherited in modern religion.
Since I actually don't believe in anything, and rather act according to my probability meter (yay!), I'm not instantly bashing religious people, since I'm not saying they are wrong. I think that religion is not a bad thing, not at all. It can, in a way, group people, it can give them hope, it can give them ways to think differently and if people were to act like their religion tells them to, it would actually be the best thing that happened to humanity since ... ever. And yes, I would gladly live in a wooden hut if people weren't constantly trying to kill each other. However, history proved that religion actually tends to do the exact opposite. Not because religion itself would be bad, but because people are in charge.
Since I'm pretty sleepy, I don't know if I made my point clear enough, or if it does make sence at all, but... That's my opinion. I guess.
