DRM free Pizza!

SimonG: DRM free Pizza!

gameon: Spamming the topic.
Wut?

DRM free Pizza is the most requested feature on GOG! Heck, it's second only to System Shock 2.

gameon: Not just you, but if hundreds of people add stuff like:

Its just making the thread a joke....
And that is a bad thing since... when?

Well, we already have the Gothic 3 addon, so...

gameon: Well its hard to pick out serious requests from the jokes. I have no problems with jokes, but if theres a rational debate or request, its a bit tedious seeing several posts of off topic stuff every few seconds. I really want an off topic section in the forums.

And i've not played gothic 3 "enhanced edition", but i've heard its really bad.....
We've have enough threads with suggestions like this... there is a request site features option already :D And to be honest... most of the ppl here don't want a second Steam ;)

ohbear: I just wanted to start off by saying a few things I would love to see GoodOldGames have. Just saying it would be pretty cool to have it a lot like steam, but then again that might be just me, I don't know. I think I'll list them by priority, but note that I didn't put too much effort in listing the importance.

1. Friend Lists
- See what games they are playing, profiles, comments, instant messaging, etc...

2. Counting The Time Played On Games
- I love just counting how many hours I have wasted on games, and sometimes even limit myself to how much I play. It could maybe be optional to letting other people seeing your hours or something.

3. A "Recommended For You" Section
- Pretty self explanatory, just some part on the website that recommends some games to you depending on the ones you have played so far.

4. Reviews
- Write your own reviews! Let other people know what games are your favorites! It's a good way to learn about other games you may never heard of before.

Feel free to add on.

EDIT: Some grammar mistakes yo.
I don't need any of these .

I don't understand why some of you want to form GOG into a Steam clone .

gameon: Adding an off topic forum doesn't make it steam. Pretty much every other forum has an off topic section. No matter what its about.
As you can see above, any feature Steam has as well will be condemned as Steamifying by people who have some aversion to Steam. I saw the same thing happen on MMO forums (WAR in particular). Couldn't recommend any features that WOW had or certainly not using that word, even though the feature itself is perfectly fine and the game would even benefit from it :)

The only thing from the suggestions OP made.... maybe Friend list... without the instant messaging...

It is like saying "what did you need that DOS for? install Windows!" to an old gamer who maybe still have an old PC to run original games. :D
Unfortunately most younger games has grown accustomed with Steam interface as the only "proper" one. Now, when GOG tends to release newer games they register here and look for "that" interface because they feel like infants without mother.

gameon: If you look at my comment here: http://www.gog.com/en/wishlist/site/friend_system

(it was posted days before this) You can see that i agree with that, and so dont need a steam clone. I just want a simple structure to the forums. Everyones posts are basically dumped into the same place, and navigating it is a nightmare!
Oh the navigating is bad for sure... we need better forum for sure

ohbear: Welp. I feel stupid. Kind of new to forums. Was sort of looking for something like this. Thanks.
Welcome to GOG! Some of us are cool, some of us aren't, all of us are nerds.
