I used to own this game back in the day. I still think it's the best RPG ever created. I have no idea what happened to my old discs, and don't care to flirt with fate to buy a copy off ebay or whatever.
GOG is the only hope I have of playing this masterpiece again, and being that the dev's of the game are already on board with GOG I can't fathom that it won't show up here.... I hope!
Come on guys, the Nameless One needs to walk the Planes again!
You know they won't say anything specific about what may or may not be coming to GOG just because you asked. They only release info like that with the regular Thursday site update.
I'll bet not in the next few weeks.
nope, probably never.
I have to imagine that there are games that the GOG staff would love to bring to the site but they would have to get those who hold the rights of the game to play ball and if that doesn't happen then we gamers are screwed. I hope the do get Planescape Torment, the prices of a copy online are ridiculous.

No one is stopping you to begin a lobbying campaign at Interplay to let them sort the copyright issues out and then letting GOG distribute it, maybe this is already happening, but extra pressure wouldn't harm I think.
Get Planescape for 10$ would be orgasmic.

The thing is that Interplay doesn't have the rights to sell this game any more, as they don't have the D&D-license now. Same with Baldur's Gate, et.c. And GoG's deal is with Interplay, so they can only sell the titles Interplay can sell.
We can hope that GoG will be able to sort something out, because obviously getting a game like this on sale again would be positive for all parties involved, but it's probably not as easy as it seems.

So.. The rights are with Atari?
The rights would probably be partly with atari and partly wizards of the cost. Err coast. No, lets be realistic, 'cost'.
They'd probably have too many fingers in the pie to make a profit selling it

What if it was $6?

What if it was $6 with the original box and manual?
What if it was?
well I'd probably think that it's a bargain but still get the gog equivelant (if available) because I prefer the idea of the digital version, if nothing else because of the lack of disc swapping.
Also if it was physical and cost $6, ElPixelIlustre would probably get orgasm all over it and that can stain...

Also, I would guess Interplay has some rights too, since it's their content. So there's probably at least three parties that needs to agree, plus GoG.

Probably depends on whether the licences were bought in full or not but just the possibility is the kind of thing that would make it hard to get.
