Ric1987: Hopefully soon. A date was never announced for us either as they kept saying a few days and then a few days later they would say a few days again.
avatar
bansama: I'll give 'em 7 days. If my copy of Portal 2 arrives before it's online, I'm going to shout nasty things at my PS3. That'll show 'em. U_U
Blame the Japanese government, they are demanding more answers from Sony before the network is put back up in Japan.

liquidsnakehpks: choose any 2 out of these 5 damn sony so cheap :X
Dead Nation
inFAMOUS
LittleBigPlanet
Super Stardust HD
Wipeout HD + Fury
So cheap? First of all, I would love a free copy of inFAMOUS and LBP, I missed them when first released. Second, its not just those games, its also a selection of free movie rentals (no list yet) and a free month of PSN+ which includes... wait for it... more free games! The free crap for Playstaion Home, I can do without, but the rest of it is pretty good.
avatar
Sielle: Hmm... inFAMOUS or Dead Nation?
avatar
GameRager: The correct answer would be BOTH. ;)
Sorry already going to grab Wipeout HD. (The only one I was considering actually paying for)

So that leaves me one other to pick, and I already have Super Stardust HD, and not much interest in LittleBigPlanet (would prefer games like that on the PC).

I'm pretty sure anything free you get from PSN+ isn't owned once your PSN+ runs out. Anything payed for you keep (even at a discount), but, as far as I'm aware, free stuff goes away with Plus (provided you don't keep paying for it, that is).

But, yeah, LBP and inFAMOUS would be awesome. I wonder what the possible PSP games are, though.

EDIT: Eh. The PSP games are pretty meh.

LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
ModNation Racers
Pursuit Force
Killzone Liberation

I have no real interest in any of these with the exception of, maybe, LBP PSP, but I could just get the PS3 version, so...

Sony aren't getting off that easy. If this is really down to the government, then they should be telling us that -- which naturally, they aren't. And thus, Sony have actually learnt fuck all from this.

Seems that they have to demonstrate everything they improved to the government

The free games you get with a Plus membership that are free go away when your plus membership is gone. The free games you get as compensation for the PSN being down (LBP, inFAMOUS, etc.) you keep.

I should have clarified that I was only talking about PSN+ free games.

Well. the Japanese government is a very poor choice of entity to enforce that one. They're some of the worst at worming their way out of accountability.

It still doesn't negate the fact that Sony Japan are still refusing to be open with their customers despite the fluff they've been feeding the foreign media in that respect.

lukipela: Where is my free crap?!
We'll get it when the Playstation Store comes back up. No definitive word on when that's going to happen, but the rumor is they will start sometime tomorrow in conjunction with what would normally be the Tuesday store update.
We already know that (they released that two days ago), but they did not bring up the entire PSN. One of the parts that was not brought online was the store.

GameRager: The map says it's up...did you check it yet?
You are misunderstanding, PSN actually is up for some functionality, like multiplayer gaming, access to Netflix and Hulu, friends features, etc. but the store is not available yet. Sony has yet to notify us when that will happen.
