This weekend we have a special offering for all strategy games fans. In this [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/strategy_first_games]special pack from Strategy Games you'll find a full spectrum of what the strategy genre offers - from the fantasy-themed, with RPG elements, Disciples: Sacred Lands Gold, through turn-based tactical combat in Jagged Alliance and Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, to managerial approach in Port Royale 2. Now you can grab each of those games 50% off (that's only $4.99 each), no matter if you buy all of them or just selected ones. Armchair generals, now it's your turn.
None for me this time but I wanted to say that I'm liking all these smaller sales.

The big publisher sales don't work for me because I'm usually not interested in all 6/8/10/12 games on offer, so my discount always drops.

These smaller sales (including the mid-week 24-hour specials) have got me paying much more attention to what's happening at GOG. I'm certainly visiting the site more often now that there's more happening.

Cheers, just wanted to register my thumbs-up. :)

Peter.
No JA2, too sad. I love JA:DG which is gifted from GOG very much so i want to try JA2, i missed this game from Christmas sale, maybe i choose JA1 for this weekend.
Well, none of these games appeal to me, but the flat 50% is appreciated.
"Nice, you own all games from this promo."

So, what about promo of games I don't own yet?

godspeeed: anyone tried port royale 2? Is it worth 4.99$
If you're interested in trading games, then it's worth even the full price. You can do various things in PR2, like trading, building businesses, hunting pirates or sign up as a buccaneer for one of the countries, solving quests for governors, all for accumulating ever more money.
This game is a good choice even if you've never played anything like this before, as it's the most beginner-friendly of its kind (for example, you only need wealth to reach higher ranks).
Got Return to Zork, both Krondors and Advent Rising. Should have known better than to stock up on games like crazy in January.

From this promo I don't have only Disciples...which I'll surely buy - but maybe later. Instead another purchase from Interplay - this week Fallout 1.

I'll agree with DrIstvaan here. PR2 is a pretty interesting mix and not a bad entry into the economic management genre. Its economic management aspect is similar to that of the Patrician series, while the mini-games seem lifted whole from Sid Meier's "Pirates!". If you are remotely interested in trading sims, it's a good pick up at the sale price.
50% off even if I don't buy all of them? Make this the new standard for weekend deals.
nice promo but, was one of these games not given free already, and only one of these games will work on windows 7, i will pass on most of .but have purchased port royal 2 as i quite fancy the look of that one, and at the price cannot really go wrong. GOG forever

Both Jagged Alliance games run with Dosbox, so there should be no problem with Win7. They are not tested and so not labeled yet. Only Disciples seems to be a little bit problematic with Win7.

Ah, and only game I am interested in is Disciples. So I should wait for compatibility, I am not changing OS just for Disciples.
