CD Projekt RED Group Summer Conference live (right here! We'll embed it below!) on the 30th May 2012 at 5:00 PM GMT.

We know that he who does not collect in summer, will heat little in winter and because we care for our users, you can prepare yourselves for wonderful harvest after the CD Projekt RED Group Summer Conference next Wednesday at 5:00 PM GMT. It is true that one swallow does not make a summer, that is why first you will hear some earth-shattering news from our friends from CDP RED and around 40 minutes later (that’s around 5.40 GMT!), TheEnigmaticT will tell you about GOG.com’s upcoming plans and release a number of fantastic games live at the show. We know that the summer that yields lots of pumpkins and horseradish doesn't fill the larder, that is why you can expect some old, some classic, and some brand new releases that will definitely heat up the first days of June.

Winter will ask you what you did during the summer, so make sure to tune in next wednesday May 30th at 5:00 PM GMT to watch us during the CD Projekt RED Group Summer Conference in this very newspost. Summer night is not very long but it rocks many cradles. You simply don’t want to miss it.

It may take a while for the video to buffer below, you but you can check out the stream here on Ustream if you missed it. http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/22959397 Our part starts about 30 minutes in. Thanks for watching!

We’re out of obscure Polish proverbs about Summer, but feel free to make up your own in the comments below. ;)

tfishell: Excellent idea.
I thought so! I played the everliving out of the older Backyard Sports games, so being able to play them without worrying about discs or patches (in the case of the MLS edition of Backyard Soccer for us Americans) is probably for the best.

But that's what GOG frankly does best.

My predictions?

Old games - Tomb Raider (overdue considering it's Eidos' most famous game), Command & Conquer and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Of course i'm hoping for Final Fantasy 7 and Blood Omen: The Legacy of Kain among others, but those two have some technical and possibly some rights issues, so i'm not sure.

Indie games - Torchlight. I've got a strong feeling in my bones about this coming to GOG.

Newer games - Frankly, i'm not sure about this one. If I had to take a shot in the dark, maybe Just Cause and the more recent Tom Clancy games?

CDP Red - Probably add-on content for The Witcher 2 and/or an announcement of a Mac version of TW2.

New publisher - For some reason, I don't think we'll see a new publisher announced at this conference.

Thoughts?

Sounds reasonable.

Personally, I expect them to announce more Premium Editions, like at the last conference, but this time they might announce PEs from other publishers, not just Ubisoft.

A new publisher: if anything like that were to come up, I'd expect it to be an announcement of an announcement. Something like the names of the big publishers not yet on GOG (like last year), followed by the announcement that a deal with one of them is being finalized, more coming soon etc. Because I think GOG would've started dropping hints by now, if a new publisher had already been signed. Unless they've changed their approach. Wednesday will show.
Set an alert in the calendar, so I won't miss it. I hope we will be getting a free game again. ;)
So... I guess no new release tomorrow?

I was wondering about the same thing.

Sashh: Witcher 3 announcement. It's about time.
This.
With the statement "Remember we talked about 16 endings for TW2 ? You'd better keep your savegames."

Ah..uh... forget about that. BioWare already tried this and they almost failed. Why would CDP RED succeed ...

And +1 for Looking Glass' System Shock 1+2

That would be a bit disappointing. The less games in the pipe they release, the later I will be playing the Carmas.
Waiting good news from there. I hope rumors are correct :)

SLP2000: They test games (like finish every game on 30 different PCs) before a release.
Uh, really?

Thirty different PCs?

TET mentioned something about GOG having thirty test PCs.
