Sometimes, more of the same is the best sequel concept!

Zombie Shooter 2, the best possible continuation to the isometric trigger-happy mayhem with massive levels and RPG upgrade mechanics, is available on GOG.com, for only $5.99.

Imagine yourself coming to visit an unknown city and seeing it almost ruined, with all the citizens turned into zombies. What will you do? Call for help, organize a large-scale rescue campaign or... Try to dig your way out of the situation, find out what happened and use your last chance to save the person you love! Zombie Shooter 2 is a unique blend of two game genres - Action and RPG. Every player can choose a character to their liking, get experience to develop skills, earn money and spend it at weapons, medications and useful devices. All of this will be used against thousands of enemies. The zombies fill the game screen, never letting you rest, even for a minute. On GOG.com the game comes complete with a full MP3 soundtrack!

With the release of Zombie Shooter 2, all of the triggerhappy classics from Sigma Team, that is Alien Shooter + Expansions, Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded, Zombie Shooter, and Zombie Shooter 2, receive a permanent 25% bundle discount on GOG.com.

Why is gog taking so much time to release these? Games from the series have been in so many frigging bundles in various incarnations and they're all pretty much the same. They should all be released one at a time instead of wasting release slots on each one.
Feels like gog is just trying to disguise the fact they have a severe lack of content to release (and they keep promising great releases round every corner.) Too much time wasted on PR stunts and daft videos, not enough on games.
Sigma blew goodwill with the fucktard moderator they had on their forums... any post which didn't blow smoke up their products' arse was instantly banned.

Own these elsewhere - probably from bundles... but won't be supporting them on here

Disappointing...
Is this the first game in the Zombie / Alien Shooter series to add RPG elements then? How did that work out - make it any more compelling?

It allows you to kill aliens in slihtly more varied ways than the original Alien Shooter. I definitely liked the second game more than the first - neither was something I'd mark to be a game of the year tho. Not even remotely.
This is starting to get a little bit silly, you are just drip feeding the Sigma Team games - why spread them out so?

Surely it can neither be on request from the publisher, nor due to DRM matters or "quality control"... is this just to fit with schedules so that you are sure there is some sort of release each week?

Other than that, it is a Sigma Team shooter, nice if you like them but it will not change your mind if you do not. I like them alot.

I think it's because Sigma was charging a $20 base price for quite a while for these games, and only lately they were ready to lower it. In any case, I'm glad it's here now. :)
Well I definitely enjoyed the carnage of Alien Shooter & Alien Shooter 2.

My only criticism is that sometimes the swarms lasted too long in AS2 -- it can get tiresome just pumping endless rounds into endless enemies in the same location. But AS2 more than made up for its shortfalls with regular awesomeness, and I thoroughly recommend it for some fairly insane action.

GOG is saying it now has them all, but it is missing "Alien Shooter Revisited", which was the remake of the original game in the nicer AS2 engine. Maybe here at GOG that could be added as a bonus to the original game?!? It's really good.
Does this support widescreen resolutions?

I doubt it would be given as a bonus, as it is sold as a separate game (or as part of a pack) in other stores.

Yeah, but its major drawback is that they never ported the two expansions to the new engine. So you can play the old versions and the two expansions, or you can play the new version and no expansions. That serious limitation makes it bonus material for me. It's not like it's Diablo 3. It's a content port of a fairly limited low-budget game.
I already own Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded, it's good mindless fun but one game of that kind is enough. This release is indeed a bit disappointing.
