A hunter lurks beneath the waves!

Silent Service 1+2, a bundle of two legendary MicroProse classic submarine simulation war games, dating back to 1985 & 1990, now available on GOG.com for only $5.99!

From the second you take command, you'll live by the motto FIND 'EM, CHASE 'EM, SINK 'EM, as you follow instruments, charts and your instincts in search of hostile convoys. Is a submerged daylight periscope attack best or do you charge in on the surface at night using only radar bearings to guide you? Do you fire a spread of your precious torpedoes or can you close the range and pick off the enemy with a single torpedo shot? These decisions and many more are yours to make as you take your place among the elite ranks of the Silent Service!

Silent Service 1+2 includes MicroProse's both legendary submarine warfare titles, that will bring you all the challenging combat versus single ships and heavily escorted convoys you could handle. All the critical battle stations are represented: engine room, conning tower and ship’s bridge. The games present you with an infinite variety of situations using complete maps and charts for the entire Southwest Pacific. With a wide selection of historical scenarios from individual attacks to patrol missions, and clear distraction-free graphics that allows you to stay on top of the situation, this classic pack provides you with everything that you need to feel the excitement of actual submarine combat.

Battle stations! Prepare to fully submerge in Silent Service 1+2, for only $5.99, on GOG.com!
And still no other silent hunter games here...

damien: looks like a great release. from microprose, still looking forward to 7th Legion, NAM and Redline though
Whoa. I just noticed that they have, apparently got the rights to Weird Dreams - always wondered about that one, maybe comes from the era when the Amiga version was best though

I've still like Slave Zero even if it IS meant to be repetitive after a while...
Curiously I recognize some of the graphics from the Atari800 from a disk game. Unfortunately it was when I was 8 or so and I couldn't read so actually performing any missions was impossible for me at the time. I wonder if it's the same game...

Actually it appears it is... Mobygames references it. Wow... so there's a blast from the past...
I do not often say this - but... Instabuy. This is what I come to gog for!
I got Silent Service bundles with a Sound Blaster 16 back in the day. Well, my dad did - I was still in primary school at the time. I wonder if we still have the CD with Microprose games. I remember spending so much time on Civ and F117a.
On my wishlist for the instant I get paid!
Great and tense games.

BTW: On the game card header "enroll" has 2 'L' s. :-)

Too bad I already have a box CD version of this game. But I like it very much that Microprose games start appearing here!
Tommo - I think the name is really badly chosen, but I like their enthusiam to put their games on here. I wish everybody would act like them.

The games may have aged a bit. Not sure...
GOG is just on a roll aren't they?
Not my thing genre-wise this time, but the regular MicroProse/Tommo Thursdays are the type of thing I've been missing over here for a while. Go Tommo!
Hurrah for more MicroProse, and for more smart games on GOG. Like others I'd much prefer the Amiga version, but I know the whole opera behind why that isn't happening. So it's good to get this release even in DOS form. Keep it up!

Huh? Enroll with 2 L's is the U.S. English spelling.

Edit: nevermind, just looked at the game card I see what you meant. Bah, it's 8am and I haven't slept yet, sorry.
