I have the retail version for PC but it was published by 2K not EA, did EA acquire the rights later on or did Bioware retain the rights to the game and 2K just handled distribution?
Jade Empire? Very nice game. Already have the physical copy but probably will get a digital backup in a future promo
This games fantastic!. It plays like Knights of the old Replublic but with a more contolable combat system. It's a bit consoley which I never liked but still a great game

timppu: Your Steam link shows 14.99€ for me (which is more than the base price of $14.99 on GOG).
My page shows 15 euros too. Unsurprising. Discounted GOG price costs as much as a full-priced local boxed edition.

It's awesome to see Czech support among mass of other language. Together with extras, it's pretty delicious release.

Thank you, for such a beautiful release.

serpantino: Isn't this a good OLD game? Yet it's regular price is $15. I picked it up in a steam sale a while back for £3.74 (after previously buying the limited edition for xbox on release day.) it's a great game just a bit disconcerted about the price. It is EA though ¬_¬.... shame as they started strong on gog price wise.
Yeah, I find that a little disappointing too. But I guess if it's already $15 on Steam and elsewhere, it's only fair to have it that much here. (And there is a soundtrack and artbook included here)

Bravo for bringing a game a lot of people want (3,000 wishlist votes! I was surprised) and one that seems to be quite good, but I can't help but be a little disappointed that it isn't an EA-something that I can actually remember seeing in stores (back when I actually love browsing games because no internet at my house until ~2006-ish), like Alice, Black & White, SimCity 3000, Theme Park (which should be a simple DOSBox job; don't know the legal stuff, though).

RS1978: Soundtrack alone is available at Amazon for 10 Dollars, so it seems to bee a really good deal.

I'm happy with this one, but tbh for an entire TuEAsday I've expected more then one release. ;)
Really! I assumed it hadn't actually been released. Great deal then, but still a bit disappointing for someone who expected an older release.

BTW, does this fit the TET video description, anyone?

MasodikTiasma: I own this game on disc, it's really fun and the setting is cool.
Still, seeing the rhino demon ennemies on the screenshots, I can't help but be reminded of this:

Sad, really sad...
That's just wrong.. how sad =(
Is there a demo for this?
Jade Empire... with soundtrack and artbook... on GOG... YES!!! Purchased. :)

Yeah I get that the price is the same as Steam (roughly) but it's a good old game and GOG has always said they'll be $5.99 or $9.99. How many more concessions are they going to make?
Good release, GOG! Bought this before I left for work this morning.
This game had flaws such as that I find the combat a bit easy once you get paralyzing abilities like Storm Dragon style and Paralyzing Palm style, combat is a little repetitive, and the game is a bit linear despite the massive amounts of side quest.

But all that does not matter when the world is that unique and has history and the athmosphere is inviting and the story is really interesting.

I just could not stop playing despite the flaws :)

serpantino: it's a good old game
"Good old" means "before digital distribution" era.

When it comes to games that are available on Steam / Gamersgate etc., they can't offer it for a $9,99 when elsewhere it's $14.99.

Anyway, I think it's very stupid policy, and becuase of it, we still don't have Vampire: Bloodlines (and who knows if we ever have it).

Well, inflation will slowly drive prices up, too. And in this case, since it's elsewhere, I don't think GOG had much of a choice, because there was another digital shop to compare it to. (If GOG had been able to convince EA to lower the price on Steam, well, that would have been nice, lol.) I quite enjoy the 9.99 and 5.99 too; let's make sure GOG at least sticks to those two for good old games that haven't been re-released on other digital stores. (Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum is 19.99 here whereas it's like 29.99 elsewhere online.)

Unfortunately, since there's unlimited digital shelf space, we don't have much leverage as to pricing because a store like GOG doesn't need to make room like a place like Target would. (Arguably the market helps keeps things a little competitive, quality $10-$20 indie titles force bigger companies to keep their own prices reasonable.)

EDIT: Oh, and we also get multiple languages with this release.

Crosmando: Disappointing tbh, one game for Tues instead of two, and it isn't an old classic but a new-ish Bioware action game. Since Wizardry GOG seems to have gone lax on the classics, at the this slow rate we're likely to see all classics from the DOS/early Windows era by 2023...
Uh this DOS game did came out recently

And also I don't mind if GOG release slightly new games like this more often, I like Rainbow Six 3, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic here.
