simbo82: Any idea if this has gamepad support?
Yes it has. I'm playing right now with my Xbox 360 controller for Windows. :)

Again: Big thanks to GOG and EA for this really great and enjoyable release!

Here's another discussion occurring on r/gamedeals: http://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/comments/1g41n4/gog_jade_empire_special_edition_999_33_off/
I haven't played the game so I can't really say I'm excited about this, but wishlisted for now.
A fantastic release! I own it on Steam but I will buy it from GOG when it will be on sale (at least 60% off). I would buy it right now if I hadn't had it on Steam. I wishlisted it for now.

CymTyr: The reason JE costs $15 instead of $9.99 like elsewhere is because it includes the complete OST, which elsewhere sells for $10 USD separately.
Correction: Its for sale at $10 elsewhere. That doesn't mean they sell any copies.
Great! Now I have all the old Bioware RPGs =) (well, I have the new ones as well, but still :D)
Was really surprised to see this, great! (bought it now, since it's already 5 $ off and I've got some money left)

deathwings51: Great release. Only wish that KOTOR games follow this. One can always hope :D
Well, it'd be surely wonderful, but I've just bought KOTOR during the last STEAM promo xD

Are these notification emails new? I didn't get one when Rayman Origins was released last week.

They appear to be only for certain, 'larger' releases:

Big thanks :)
They should really do them for all games, no reason not to.
I'll have to pick this one up, one of the few BioWare RPGs that I haven't played. Wish listed for the moment, got several others that I need to finish first.
Your struggle is timeless. Your enemy is immortal. You're about to become fubar.
This is one of my favorite games - I also had the collector's edition for the original Xbox. I was thinking of digging that out, as I want to play KOTOR again too, so I will probably hold off on the PC version for now. This is an amazing release though, and if you've never played it, it's worth the money.
Played this one on Xbox, a hearty recommendation for anyone looking for an alternative setting for their RPGs.

One thing I hate about this game, though, is that the voice acting and writing is actually pretty damn good, so much so that it guilts me from playing the evil path.

I wanted to see the other options, damnit, quit making me feel for these characters!
So what the heck is up with the configuration utility? I couldn't get it to start back in 2007 when this came out and I can't get it to start now! Other than that the game works just fine.
